Chereads / 100th and Final Regression / Chapter 6 - Removing The Trash (2)

Chapter 6 - Removing The Trash (2)

Hearing Yuji say a future colleague left them confused. As he approached with a dagger, the group leader responded, "A future colleague? I guess you've heard about our work."

Yuji slowly approached, saying, "Yes, I have. Killing, robbery, rape, and many more heinous crimes."

The way Yuji spoke made the kidnappers think he came for justice. They played along but stood on guard.

"Yes, those were all fun times. But it sounds like you've come for justice. Is that what you're doing?" The leader asked, ready to attack based on Yuji's reply.

"Oh no, don't get me wrong. I'm no hero. Some things I do may seem heroic, but it's for my own selfish desire. I don't care about the crimes you committed nor victims. I grew numb to those things a long time ago. But you will mess with people I care about in the future, and I don't plan on letting that happen this time."

They looked at Yuji as if he was a nutcase, speaking as if he knows the future.

"This time? Haha, what are you, a prophet?" The group burst out laughing.

"Runes..." Yuji said, pausing, his sudden mention of runes caused them to quiet down and listen.

"Runes are as powerful as a class if you get a good one. I don't remember the exact time since I've lost track, but about 500 or so years ago, I got the rune of regression."

They became serious at the mention of regression.

"You expect us to believe that you've lived multiple lives?" The leader said, his heart racing.

Yuji didn't answer; he continued, "r100. That's the username I put so I can remember the regression I'm on. And this is currently my last regression, which means I have no room for error. And you four are gonna be a pain in my ass in the future."

Hearing the infamous username r100, they began sweating. The girl kidnapper, especially, witnessed Yuji's power and skills since she's in the same area.

After finding out about Yuji's real identity, they viewed him differently.

The fear they felt was similar to when they saw angels. 'What's this feeling?! It's just like when I saw those angels! No, it's much worse! I was only afraid of the angel, but in front of this monster, I can hardly breathe! I can't even move my legs just because of the fear I'm feeling!' These were the thoughts of the kidnappers.

Yuji walked until he was a few inches from them.

Even though he stood right in front of them, they couldn't move at all.

After a few seconds of Yuji standing there, staring at them, they felt a tingling sensation on their backs, and three of them instantly bowed down until their faces touched the floor. The fourth only took a knee, resulting in his head flying off his shoulders and his lifeless body dropping to the floor.

Even though their best friend just died, they didn't even think about doing anything or moving a muscle.

They believed if they did, they would instantly die.

"Your friend here thought only a knee was going to be enough," Yuji said.

While the rest of the kidnappers only thought was, 'This guy's insane! He killed Keiichi because he went down on one knee only! He has some sort of god complex! It reminds me of how the angels view humans!'

"Hitoshi, empty out your inventory," Yuji commanded.

Hitoshi, the leader, was surprised that Yuji knew his name. Then he remembered that Yuji claimed to be regressor, which made him believe his words more and more.

Although Yuji commanded him to empty out his inventory, he found it impossible since he couldn't lift his head.

"You may lift your head," Yuji told Hitoshi.

Hitoshi lifted his head, but stayed on his knees. He wasn't the only one who lifted his head.

His friend to the right of him, Takayuki, also lifted his head. But before he could process what happened, his head flew off his neck.

"I don't remember telling him to rise," Yuji said, staring at Takayuki's body with disgust.

Out of the four kidnappers that were here, only two are left, Tomoko, the only girl in the group, and Hitoshi, the leader.

Tomoko sighed in relief when at the last second, she decided not to raise her head.

Hitoshi emptied out his inventory and instantly bowed back down.

Yuji looked at the screen that popped up on the items.

500 Gold

Normal Dagger

x1 Health Potion

Yuji was surprised to see the health potion. The only people who would be able to afford that would be the three players who got on the world placement leaderboard since third place gets 5,000 gold, second place gets 7,500 gold, and first place gets 10,000 gold.

Normal players would only get 500 for surviving the event.

And none of these kidnappers were on the leaderboard, and they definitely wouldn't be strong enough to kill someone on the leaderboard.

The only other way someone would be able to afford the potion was if you killed a player and looted them or made them give up their loot.

Knowing the type of people the kidnappers were, they definitely killed people for their loot.

"How many people did you kill to buy this potion?" Yuji asked.

Hitoshi swallowed his saliva and answered without daring to lie, "In total, we killed about 40-50 people." He thought Yuji would kill him, but Yuji walked over to Tomoko.

Yuji knew they were killers, but he didn't expect them to kill that many people in such a short time span that they've been out of the tower.

But that also meant they had fairly good stats which would be useful to him.

Yuji commanded Tomoko to raise her head and empty out her inventory.

250 Gold

Normal Dagger

x1 Health Potion

After taking all the loot from both of them, he went over to the dead kidnappers and took their loot as well.

In total, he got 4 health potions and 1,750 Gold from the kidnappers.

"Listen here you two. From now on, your job is to get gold and buy health potions. I don't care how you earn your gold, just do it. Every month we will meet back here, and you'll give me all the potion you bought. And mark my words, if you have any idea of killing yourself to escape me or betraying me by telling people of my secret, I'll torture you for the rest of your life. If you die during the process, I'll use a skill to bring you back to life just to torture you some more."

Yuji released so much bloodlust that they both passed out.

Yuji didn't have to tell them the last part as they had no thought of trying to betray him. The fear he instilled in them was something unimaginable, but his words did erase all thought of them killing themselves to escape him.

Yuji picked both of them up and put them inside their home. He would then head towards the supermarket and buy food and water for his family.

Yuji had no plans of keeping them alive for very long. He was gonna use them until they became useless. He also wanted to give them a false sense of hope that they'll live before killing them.

After all, he thought death was too merciful for their crimes.
