Chapter 3 - THE IMBALANCE

The present

"Mr Roshi, Mr. Roshi!" Lion calls out louder.

"Noo..." Mr Roshi suddenly shouts as he stands up with his eyes as wide as saucers. His forehead is covered with sweat and his hands clasped tightly on the mouse. He stares at his friend Lion and around the office in a confused manner. Tears fall like river streams down his cheeks.

"Li-li-on?" He manages to utter before he collapses on the floor.

His secretary who is somehow used to such situations enter, behind him the company doctor. They exchange looks with Lion before leaving the doctor with Mr Roshi. On stepping outside, they drop the brave face and a worried face can clearly be seen.

Mr Roshi, now 26 years old, had kept one thing from everybody else; the cause of his illness. Things that happened when he was 6years of age.

When he was ten years old, after the burial of his father, his step mother chased him out of the mansion. Not even the death of his father nor the state of being homeless brought him so much pain.

For seven years, before Lion found him, he had fought everyday with the fellow street boys. Two times he was beaten and left half dead by the villagers after he was caught stealing. But the pain his mother's memory brings is incomparable to any other pain. It feels like he is being torn from the inside. It feels like his body is enslaved in a burning cave he cannot escape from. This pain kills not just his body but also his spirit and soul.

Mr Roshi remembers eating rotten food and sleeping in the rain buh he ached not nor did he get sick.

Benta's dead body is a psychological toture to Mr Roshi. It feels him with helplessness. The wealth and power he has accumulated over the nine years of staying with Lion is like a mustered seed in the eyes of his step mother. Sometimes he hates himself so much for being a failure. So broken he is.

Outside a big prestigious mansion , a middle aged woman is seated on a 'king like' sit surrounded by seven bulky men. Her long expensive dress, adorned by a flood of shiny diamonds is held on two sides by two women. The jewellery worn by her is worthy millions of dollars. The second gate to the mansio opens and a young man escorted by five bodyguards enter.

"Good afternoon your highness" the young man greets

"Good afternoon Delta. How many times do i tell you not to be so formal?"

"I'm sorry mother"

"That's it, you are not like the rest. No matter what happens I'm always your mother. Just remember everything i do is for your sake. You must be powerful enough so that people don't look down on you"

"Yes mother. I came ..."

"I already know why you came, i'll deal with thwym mercilessly. But you should know I won't be here for you always. It is time you take over like the true god you were meant to be. Wipe clean anything standing on your way"

"That is right mother, i am the one and only heir. I won't fail you. If there is nothing more, i'll take my leave now."

Over the years. Rael has accumulated so much power. She makes sure to wrap any threat in her hands. She is indirectly ruling the the country because the president dares not go against her will. Rael has ventured in both legal and illegal businesses. The darkest of them all including human trafficking for her own benefits. There is absolutely no one who dares to point a finger.

Is Mr Roshi capable of facing his evil step mother?

In a different place, inside a small room, two days had passed and finally Mr Roshi opens his eyes.
