It has been an hour since the protectors went after Nuru. Guru is standing in the same position, his senses alert listening to the movement in the forest. The more he did, the more his suspicions were confirmed.

Two wolves are resting under a tree shade with their eyes closed. The first is the largest, Guru the leader and the second is the medium sized black wolf, Nuru, his offspring. Her fur colour is always outstanding among the wolves, so black and white around the face. They appear asleep from afar but if you look closely, Guru's limbs press slightly on Nuru, a sign of offering comfort.
Normally, wolves can mind link and share their thoughts, burdens and emotions. But due to the risk associated with the linking, most prefer not to. It is said that, once a strong wolf took control of some wolves which he used as he pleased. They would aways do as he commanded thus, mind Linking is done by close wolves whom trust each other or family members.
Several times now, since she became of age, Nuru has been seeing this human. Everytime it happens, her body starts shifting by itself but before a complete shift the human disappears and she goes back to her original wolf form. The surprising thing is the amount of strength and ability that comes with this. She begins to hear sounds from a very far distance. She hears children laughing and most astonishing, she understands whatever they say. This has been bothering her until she decided to seek some comfort from their leader. She wished she could share it with her father but afraid of the consequences, she chooses to keep it to herself.
History shows that long long ago, there erupted a fight between humans and shifters. So many shifters were killed and a few that admitted defeat were totured mercilessly before being buried alive. According to history, the present generation of shifters came to be because of the few wolves who were sent to gather some food and flowers. On coming back, they found no one but corpses of their fellow clan members. One of them, the protector at that particular time is said to have made a covenant which some call a curse and others a prophecy before he killed himself. But who knows it better than the wolf standing in the middle of the forest?

Guru swallows bitter saliva. To everything hidden to the other wolves, it is shown like a movie once one becomes the leader of the wolves. His suspicions have been confirmed. He is certain a war is coming. How, when and where is a mystery, but a war is coming. He remembers the same night he ascented the throne, like a movie, he saw how wolves and humans lived together. He saw the abilities of the Leader at that particular time which brought humans and shifters together. For a long time, before that leader took over the leadership, he lived among humans, in human form and learnt their ways. Years later, when he took over the leadership from his old father, a certain human girl had fallen in love with him. He also loved her so much that he shared everything about shifters with her. The leader and the two protecors had just learnt of her pregnancy. The Leader sent one of the protector and a few wolves to gather edible food and beautiful flowers for the mother to be of the future heir. Then the unexpected happened. Everything was destroyed. He saw the remaining protector come back to find corpses. He heard clearly the curse and the prophecy; " a she wolf will find the human grandson of the original leader, her increasing power, the sign of the chosen one, will cause death but the key to life is the human"
Guru was brought out of his thoughts by the powerful howls of the wolves. Something had happened to Nuru. The running had stopped at a particular point in time but the power being released hasn't ceased to increase, she is the chosen one. He quickly identified where the power was highly concentrated. On reaching there, so many wolves had arrived, attracted by the power. They knew it had something to do with the prophecy but they didn't expect to find the sight infront of them.
Guru looked in awe, if he didn't know better, he would think she is a monster. At the middle of the wolves, Nuru laid, so big and powerful. Her size had increased and surpursed that of Guru. Her face was almost human like and a strange wave of light surrounded her. A wave like colourless wall none could break. Through the wave, It was clear from a single look she was mind linking. All the wolves present were confused, despite having not connected with her, they could clearly, through the power being realesed sense her emotions. It started well with a happy mood but currently, anger has been increasing repeatedly threatening to break the protector wall.
What if she suddenly attacks? Will they survive?
Guru, who knew from the prophecy that the power could cause death was thinking hard on how to destroy the mind linking between Nuru and god knows who . But the thought that it could be the human stopped him from taking action, he then release a howl of warning for the wolves to retreat and he was left with his two protectors who could somehow withstand incase of a fight.
At the same time, somewhere in south Africa, inside a large dinning room, a commotion had risen. About thirty minutes ago, while taking breakfast, Mr Roshi suddenly collapsed. Three doctors tried to check his condition but they couldnt find anything wrong. Despite the tests showing normal results, Mr Roshi has not woken up. He is almost like a statue, not moving a finger.
