Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

'Well isn't this interesting?' the princess monologues internally.

She holds the contractual agreement in her hand as she sips on tea. The guards stand in position as the princess sighs. She takes out a pen and contemplates the consequences of this contract.

"Rebuild the Boltmaster Complex?" her mutters sends waves of fear to the merchants seated in front of her.

"Y-yes, Princess Rosaria," the merchant stutters. "I-it's about time we look towards the future."

She looks through the contract, finding any clause that would tip the favor towards the merchant. Her sight locks to the third-to-last paragraph of the contract, intrigued by the last two sentences, she recites them out to the merchants.

"If the party doesn't give an immediate payment of one hundred thousand Chronos," Rosaria shouts. "Assassins will be sent to the contractor's living space to force the approval of the contract."

The merchants look down in defeat, chuckling manically as an object is being sharpened underneath him. In a surge of maniacal determination, the merchant jumps at the princess.

"You'll fucking die here!" the merchant shouts. "All your people have done is betray us! You'll di-"

His face peels off like a slice of steak. The princess stares at the dead body with no remorse.

"I guess I have to do it myself," Rosaria sighs. "Seems like these merchants can't take care of shit by themselves. Guards."

The guards instantly get into position to remove the dead body as she walks away from the discussion table. She looks out the blinded windows quickly then looks away, silently acknowledging the familiar face who was observing outside.

Her somber expression lights up as the hooded woman appears in front of her. Liquid mercury seamlessly fortifies her body as her movements smoothly creates distance between the barrage of purple bolts launched at her,

"So you were the assassin," Rosaria sighs. "Of course you'd jump at the opportunity to make a bit of money."

The hooded woman takes out her daggers as her eyes glow purple. She discards any heavy armor she equipped to be lighter on her feet.

"I'm only here to remind you of the whole Hero's Association shenanigans," The hooded woman declares. "If we ever face off, do not hold back."

The woman vanishes afterward, confusing the princess. She walks back to her room, grinning as she makes her final plan.

The crowd roars as both ladies stare each other down. As both ladies walk to the center of the field, the battlefield decays even more. Liquid mercury circles around the princess as her feet flow freely in the air.

"You'll face your match here," Rosaria declares. "On the kingdom you'll fall in this battlefield!"

A slight chuckle heard from behind as the Voltclaw hits the princess of Seifuku with a barrage of attacks. Her attacks complete a circuit as she makes an electrical tree with her attacks. Shocks chip away the princess' armor as she frefalls down.

"All you had to do was keep your mouth shut," Alecia taunts. "Now onto my main objecti-"

Mercury pikes narrowly miss their target. She sighs as she senses an untamed fury emitting from the Princess of Seifuku. Rosaria's armor shoot out dozens of pikes all over the battlefield, aiming recklessly towards anyone with a pulse.

The arena erupts into chaos as pike almost kill dozen of spectators. Mr. Sial watches as pikes crumble before him, oozing into acidic liquid mercury. He scoops some up and smiles as the mercury fails to dissolve his gloves.

"Her fury knows no bounds," he says as he starts to disintegrate the pikes that landed into the crowd. "She should've learned how to control them by now unless…"

His eyes widen as he sees some sort of chip clipped to the back of her neck. He sighs as the chip snaps with some golden light. More mercury pikes track to him as he dodges them all. He adjusts his glasses and tries to disintegrate them. The mercury resists Mr. Sial's strength and disperses into the crowd that hasn't escaped yet.

In a flash of grey light, Zane tries to shield the spectators from getting hurt before the pikes all stop in mid air. A dragon woman walks towards the battlefield clapping her hands.

"It's been a while, Alecia," the dragon woman chuckles. "But the competition must be put on hold."

"What does a puny draconian want with me and my mission?" Alecia grumbles.

"Honey, you know I can't let you go anywhere near him right?" the draconian laughs. "You won't go near him unless you want your beloved complex consumed by the Earth. I don't think you want that now, do you?"

Alecia transforms back into her Voltclaw form and attempts to attack the draconian. Boulders attach to the Voltclaw, crushing her energy within. The draconian knocks out Rosaria and walks to Zane.

"What's up buddy?" the draconian waves. "You miss me yet?"

"It's you again…" Zane mumbles. "Why are you here?"

"You should know why I'm here sweetie," the draconian chuckles. "Well, at least one of the reaSons…"

She looks up and sighs as she senses the angry women attempting to attack her.

"Seems like there's always people trying to bother our lovely reunion," the draconian sighs. "You lot have no manners."

Dark magic grants a surface for a dark haired woman to sit. She sighs as her magic blocks the boulders being hurled at her.

"The Earth dragon in a disguise?" Dona Morte taunts. "When was the last time I saw your draconian form, Ms. Srikari?"

"You and your cousin have been very stingy with negotiations you know?" Srikari snarks. "You must understand what's at stake here right?"

Margot strides down a flight of stairs made of light to approach the Earth dragon. She summons a staff, allowing Srikari to say the statement she wanted to say.

"Before I start," Srikari chuckles. "I must have one request."

"I don't got time for your bullshit," Margot states. "Get on with it."

The Earth dragon chuckles as she snaps her fingers. Six people including the draconian start to fade away from the battlefield.

"Let's talk in a more quiet place, shall we?"
