The fairy, however, didn't seem too offended by Darius's accusation. She instead appeared too stunned to speak.
"I — I mean, I don't…" She stammered, shifting back in her chair.
Darius chuckled and leaned into his. "Aha. Don't you dare try to lie to me!" He banged on the table hard.
Rhett couldn't take it anymore. "Stop, Darius! Stop! You're scaring her."
"Well, she needs to be scared. Look at her." He pointed at the now trembling fairy. "She knows something!"
Rhett's frustration didn't allow him to know what to say to Darius. Sure, the fairy looked suspicious but it was also evident that it wouldn't be so hard to drill from her whatever she knew.
Instead, Rhett strained his head behind and looked at Farkas who was by the glass for support. Farkas nodded at him, gesturing for him to keep calm.
