Chapter 14 - Golden Potion

"Yes!" Sauron nodded.

"I am Evelyn's elder sister."

The woman in the carriage spoke gently, "During the White Birch Forest incident, many thanks for your help. Please accept this small token of gratitude."

As she spoke, another Kingsguard came out carrying a wooden box.

"What's this?"

Sauron raised an eyebrow; the box seemed heavy, but he didn't know what was inside.

"Right, this is for you."

At this moment, another voice came from the carriage, and a hand extended, holding out a parchment. "Regarding your father's situation, I also have some information."

"Although it's inconvenient for me to intervene in Western Border matters from my position."

"However, if you encounter any difficulties, you can find me at this location!"

Saying so, the parchment with an address fell in front of Sauron, and the fair, jade-like hand retreated into the carriage.

Then, the carriage wheels began to turn.

Under the escort of the two Kingsguards, the carriage soon disappeared from the street. Sauron picked up the parchment from the ground and examined it.

Written on it was an address, which he memorized.

Next, Sauron picked up the wooden box. When he opened it, golden rays of light spilled out, making his pupils involuntarily shrink.

Immediately, Sauron closed the box.

Returning to the academy dormitory at the fastest speed, Sauron locked the door, then opened the box, taking out everything inside.

A total of one thousand gold coins and ten golden potions.

"Could this be the rumored Golden Potion?"

Sauron looked at the golden elixir in the wooden box, his eyes flashing. He had heard of the royal-exclusive Golden Potion.

Golden Potion, also known as the Blood of Gold!

It was a magical potion exclusive to the Taal Duchy's royal family, extremely valuable, with significant auxiliary effects on any Breathing Technique.

"It seems that Evelyn is indeed a member of the royal bloodline!"

Thoughts flashed in Sauron's mind. The Golden Blood elixir in the wooden box once again proved that Evelyn possessed the royal bloodline of the Taal Duchy.

The woman in the black carriage identified herself as Evelyn's elder sister.

"Second Princess, Hestoria!"

A silhouette emerged in Sauron's mind. According to his memory, the current King of Taal had not many offspring. Judging by age and status, Second Princess Hestoria and the woman in the carriage were the most likely.

After all, among those with the qualification to command the Kingsguard, and even fewer who could produce ten bottles of Golden Blood at once.

"Such great generosity!"

Sauron sighed and smiled. With these ten bottles of Golden Blood, he wouldn't have to worry about magical potions for a short time. At the same time, the thousand gold coins could be used for many things.

The next day, early in the morning.

The sun rose from the east, casting its dawn light across the land. The melting ice and snow dripped from the eaves.

Sauron came to Ron's residence early.

"Many thanks, Ron."

Handing over two hundred gold coins and a bottle of Golden Blood elixir in a box, Sauron repaid his debt to Ron.

"Is it true about the White Birch Forest incident?"

Ron took the box, a complex expression on his face, and hesitated, "Did you really advance to Knight and join forces with Goliath to kill three Snake Shadow assassins?"

The assassination incident during the Spring Hunt trial had already spread throughout the Holy Splendor Academy.

At that time, Ron was also in the White Birch Forest. Although he didn't witness the assassination, he experienced the turmoil caused by the beast tide and was almost involved in it.

After returning to the academy, Ron learned about the Snake Shadow assassins. Several students had witnessed Sauron's battle with the assassins, so his advancement to Knight was no longer a secret.

"I also want to many thanks you for your help."

Sauron nodded, smiling, "Without your two hundred gold coins, I wouldn't have been able to afford the Graphite Potion to break through to the Knight realm."

"God! That's the Knight realm!"

Ron rubbed his forehead, his face showing a touch of envy. He said faintly, "You've already taken that step before graduation."

"In the next few years, won't you be able to walk unhindered in the academy?"

The Holy Splendor Academy was the best place for Knight training in the entire Taal Duchy. However, among the hundreds of students graduating each year, only a few managed to advance to Knight.

In the Taal Duchy, and even on the Lost Continent, being a Knight held special significance.

For commoners, it meant a change in status. In the overwhelming majority of cases, only those who advanced to Knight had the qualification to become nobles.

The leap in social status motivated countless people to strive for it.

Ron's father, as a businessman, had accumulated considerable wealth over three generations. However, due to the lack of a Knight in the family, they had not been able to become nobles.

It was precisely for this reason that Ron's father insisted on sending Ron to the Holy Splendor Knight Academy. Unfortunately, Ron's innate talent was only average.

To advance to Knight, in addition to rigorous cultivation, resource assistance was also needed to slightly increase the success rate.

"Don't worry about it."

Sauron patted Ron's shoulder and said with a smile, "With your abilities, there might still be a chance for you to advance to the Knight realm before graduation."

"Me? Maybe?"

Ron shrugged, his tone tinged with self-deprecation. Then he opened the box and found not only two hundred gold coins but also a bottle of golden elixir inside.

"Is this... Golden Blood?"

Seeing the elixir in the box, Ron's complexion changed slightly. His pupils contracted, and he exclaimed, "Where did you get this!?"

Sauron recounted the events of the previous night.

"It seems the rumors are true!"

Ron's face turned excited, his voice trembling, "Evelyn is indeed a member of the royal family, and her elder sister is probably Second Princess Hestoria!"

"It's possible," Sauron nodded.

"It's not just possible!"

Unable to contain his excitement, Ron's eyes flickered. Suppressing the palpitations in his heart, he whispered, "Apart from Princess Hestoria, who else could produce ten bottles of Golden Blood elixir as a reward in one go?"

"Damn it! Why couldn't I have such good luck?"

"If I had known that Miss Evelyn is the younger sister of Princess Hestoria, I would have tried to impress her. Maybe I could have gained her favor!"

Ron scratched his head in regret, looking very regretful.

Rolling his eyes, Sauron thought that even if Ron had known Evelyn's identity earlier, he probably wouldn't have had the qualifications to approach her.

How could a commoner touch the royal bloodline?

Even the talented Knight Goliath, beside Evelyn, was at most a guardian. Yet, this was an opportunity that many people couldn't seek.

"By the way, Sauron."

At this moment, Ron spoke again, "Are you really giving me this bottle of Golden Blood elixir? You just advanced to the Knight realm; don't you need magic potions to stabilize your state?"
