Chapter 15 - Letter from the Western Border

"Don't worry."

Sauron shook his head and said softly, "I still have nine bottles of Golden Blood elixir on hand, enough to stabilize my realm."

"Alright, then I won't be polite!"

Ron's eyes flickered as he looked at the Golden Blood in his hand. His heart felt a burst of heat. This was a precious magic potion exclusively used by the Taal Royal Family.

If used well, Ron might even be able to use it to break through to the Knight realm.

Thinking about becoming a Knight, Ron couldn't help but raise the corners of his lips. Just then, a knock on the door interrupted the moment.

"Who is it?"

Ron raised an eyebrow, walked over to open the door, and saw a man in a long robe standing there with a somewhat unpleasant expression.

"Uncle Muir?"

Ron was a bit surprised; the person at the door was his paternal uncle.

Muir opened his mouth, about to say something, but seeing that there were outsiders in the room, he hesitated for a moment, then waved to Ron.

"Sorry, Sauron, excuse me for a moment."

Ron greeted him, then followed Muir out of the room. The two engaged in a conversation outside, seemingly related to family business.

"What? Is father alright?"

"How did this happen? What about Uncle Broka?"

"Damn Crusaders!"

The conversation outside quickly ended, and Muir turned and left. Ron, who returned to the room, had a somewhat gloomy expression.

"What's wrong?" Sauron asked.

"...It's nothing."

Ron shook his head, forcing a smile, "There's been some trouble in the family business, but my father has handled it."

"Let's not talk about this."

"Sauron, now that you have advanced to the Knight realm, what are your plans next?" Ron said, his expression becoming more serious.

"Plans?" Sauron slightly frowned.

"Of course, it's about Night Raven City."

Ron's voice lowered as he said, "Your father, Lord Oren, has been missing for so long. Night Raven City must be in chaos by now, and it urgently needs a lord to stabilize the situation."

"According to the law, now that you have advanced to Knight, you already have the qualification to inherit Night Raven City!"

Ron stopped here, not continuing, but Sauron already understood his meaning.

"I don't plan to leave the capital for now."

Sauron shook his head, saying lightly, "Even according to the dukedom's laws, I might have the qualification to inherit Night Raven City, but without enough strength, even if I sit in that position, it would probably be a disaster!"

"...True."

Ron nodded, a complex expression flickering in his eyes. Compared to the matters of Night Raven City, the troubles in his family's business were nothing.

After parting ways with Ron, Sauron returned to the dormitory.

Advancing to the Knight realm only gave Sauron a certain degree of self-defense ability. As for returning to the Western Border to inherit Night Raven City, it was something he had never considered.

"I still need to continue improving my strength!"

A gleam flashed in Sauron's eyes as he looked at the nine bottles of Golden Blood elixir. He took a deep breath, his expression determined.

In this extraordinary world, strength was the foundation for measuring everything.

In the days that followed, life gradually returned to calm.

After the turmoil of the Spring Hunt trial, Sauron never saw Evelyn again. Goliath, not long after, graduated early from the Holy Splendor Knight Academy.

According to reliable information, Goliath joined the Kingsguard.

As the exclusive royal guards, the Kingsguard was the dream of every Knight. For Goliath, who came from a commoner background, joining them was like stepping half into the noble class.

After the Spring Hunt trial, Sauron stayed in the Holy Splendor Academy.

Relying on the ten bottles of Golden Blood elixir bestowed by Second Princess Hestoria, he began secluded cultivation. In less than ten days, he once again raised the level of the Night Raven Breathing Technique.

One day, in the dormitory.

The data panel appeared before him, and Sauron looked at the Night Raven Breathing Technique, which had now reached Level 5. A faint gleam flashed in his eyes.

"The Golden Blood elixir is indeed extraordinary!"

Sauron sighed in his heart. The Golden Blood was truly a magic potion exclusive to the royal family, with a more significant effect on improving the Breathing Technique than the Graphite Potion.

In these ten days, he had only used two bottles of Golden Blood elixir.

And the Night Raven Breathing Technique had advanced two levels consecutively. At this rate, when he used up all the Golden Blood, Sauron might have the chance to become an intermediate-level Knight.

Dong dong dong!

A knock on the door outside interrupted Sauron's thoughts.

He stood up and opened the door, finding a messenger standing there. The messenger handed a sealed letter to Sauron and then left.

"A letter from the Western Border?"

Sauron raised an eyebrow, returned to the dormitory, and opened the letter. It was from the Western Border, signed by the Lord of White Valley City.

The contents of the letter were not much.

After reading it, Sauron slightly frowned, putting the letter aside, his face showing a pensive expression.

"An engagement? Is there one?"

Sauron touched his chin.

The letter from the Lord of White Valley City stated that Lord Oren, the Lord of Night Raven City, had once had a marriage agreement with White Valley City. Now that Sauron was about to come of age, according to the agreement between the two lords, he should return to the Western Border and complete the wedding with the youngest daughter of the Lord of White Valley City.

At the same time, the Lord of White Valley City also mentioned.

Since the disappearance of the Lord of Night Raven City, the current Night Raven City was in a state of panic. As the legitimate successor, Sauron should return to Night Raven City as soon as possible to take charge. As long as Sauron was willing to marry his daughter, the Lord of White Valley City was willing to provide some assistance to help Sauron inherit Night Raven City.

"Heh!"

Sauron chuckled lightly, tossing the letter aside.

The Lord of White Valley City's attitude was quite clear, but Sauron had no intention of responding. Regardless of whether there was a marriage agreement between him and the youngest daughter of the Lord of White Valley City, in the current situation, Sauron had no intention of rashly returning to the Western Border.

Especially since the Lord of White Valley City requested Sauron to return to the Western Border to marry his youngest daughter, it was probably not with good intentions.

The nobles of the Western Border now all had their eyes fixed on Night Raven City.

But constrained by the laws of the dukedom, no one dared to openly swallow up Night Raven City. It had to be said that the Lord of White Valley City, Dov, was a very clever person.

He wanted to get Night Raven City but didn't want to become a target. Therefore, the Lord of White Valley City brought up the marriage

agreement made years ago with Oren. As long as Sauron returned to the Western Border, he had to marry the youngest daughter of the Lord of White Valley City.

Moreover, once the wedding was completed, Dov would help Sauron inherit Night Raven City.

Of course, such an inheritance was only superficial. The Lord of White Valley City, Dov, would become the true controller of Night Raven City, and Sauron would become his puppet.

The Lord of White Valley City's calculations were well thought out, but Sauron had no intention of returning to the Western Border.

For him, Night Raven City was not important. Without sufficient strength, even if he smoothly inherited Night Raven City, it would only put himself in danger.

Therefore, Sauron's current biggest goal was still to improve his own strength.

As for the fate of Night Raven City, it was temporarily not within his consideration. If there was an opportunity, he could consider reclaiming Night Raven City in the future.
