"Come on, Sora, let's head to the teleport station. Enter the coordinates: 3729." I sighed, taking one last look around. "I'm really gonna miss this place." This is it—the moment we make our move to Astral City.
"Hurry up, you dickhead!"
"Don't rush me!" I snapped back.
As we stepped into Astral City, both of us were blown away by what we saw. We couldn't help but let out a collective, "Whoa!"
"So this is Astral City? Pretty impressive," Sora muttered, still in awe.
"Ahhh!"
"What's wrong?!" I asked, startled by Sora's sudden outburst.
"I just realized… we gave away all our money!"
"Dammit! How are we supposed to get food? Or money? Or… anything? Why the hell did you give it all away?"
"Guess we'll have to figure out a way to make some cash," I replied, trying to stay calm.
"Let's split up," Sora suggested. "You find Astral Academy, and I'll check out the local guilds. We'll meet back here at sunrise, got it?"
With a nod, I set off to find the Academy.
"Excuse me, sir, could you tell me where Astral Academy is?"
"Of course. Lemme guess, you're aiming to become a sorcerer or follow the martial path?"
"Yes, sir. Where can I find the Academy?"
"It's right in the center of Town Square."
"Thank you, I appreciate your help."
"Be careful, though. The path of cultivation is dangerous."
As I walked through the bustling streets of Astral City, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. Is this truly the path I want to take? Well, there's no turning back now.
"Sir, don't take another step or you'll be shot on sight. You're on Astral Academy grounds. Any harmful acts will result in immediate execution."
"I'm here to meet with the principal for an application to attend the school."
"Oh! Right this way, sir."
He led me into the Academy. The walls were lined with paintings of ancient battles, each more epic than the last. One, in particular, caught my eye—a girl who looked strangely familiar. Before I could ask, the principal appeared beside me and asked if I wanted to know who she was. She's known as the strongest in the middle catenate—Janiya Ongaki.
"Ma'am, I'd like to enroll in this academy."
"Very well," she replied, handing me a document. "Sign this and bring it back. Once you do, you'll officially be part of Astral Academy."
Later, I met back up with Sora at the park, waiting for him to show up.
"Where is he?" I muttered, glancing around.
Sora finally arrived, looking defeated. "I tried to get us into the guild, but they wouldn't take us. We have to be at least in the lower world to join. Dammit!"
"It's fine," I said, holding up the document. "We're in at Astral Academy. We just have to sign this, and we start next week."
"Well, I can't wait. Let's just hope things don't get too boring for us… or anyone else."
