A chilling, malevolent energy filled the arena as ice began forming everywhere. I could feel the temperature plummet as the battle intensified. Jayla was no ordinary opponent—she was something else entirely.
"Demonic Heavy Snow," she declared, her voice echoing with an eerie power. "Anything touched by this snow will lose its life force. This is the curse of the Wendigo."
"Wendigo? What the hell is that?"
"You'll find out—if you live long enough," she smirked.
I realized that if the cursed snow kept falling, it would drain away all my life force. Desperation kicked in, and I unleashed my green flames to burn it away. The demonic attribute of my flames would destroy anything with life energy, but even so, I had to push my limits.
"Flame Seal! Burn everything away!"
"Ladies and gentlemen, you won't believe what's happening!" the announcer blared, her voice filled with dramatic excitement. "Ice and flames are battling for dominance, covering the entire stadium! Behind both contestants, mythical beasts have appeared—a Wendigo, a dragon, and two phoenixes! This is a life-or-death battle, and it looks like it's all coming down to their final moves!"
I groaned loudly, my focus slipping for a moment. That moment cost me—I got hit with an ice shard straight to the face. The crowd erupted with a collective "DAMN!" like we were in some movie scene straight out of Friday.
"A blizzard of ice and flames engulfs the stadium! This is it—the final clash! Absolute Zero!" Jayla's voice rang out as the entire arena froze over. "Cryokinetic Breaker!"
"Fine, you want to end this? I'll give you what you asked for!" I shouted back. "Pyrokinetic Whirlwind!"
Our final attacks collided, sending shockwaves through the stadium. The sheer force of fire and ice clashing caused cracks to spiderweb across the arena floor. The entire stadium shattered around us as we were both blasted out of the ring.
Jayla, exhausted and beaten, finally surrendered.
"And we have a winner!" the announcer cried out, barely containing her excitement.
"I… won? Again?" I muttered, disbelief washing over me.
Before I could fully process it, everything went black, and I passed out. At least now I wouldn't have to listen to that announcer narrating every second like we were characters in some kind of story… Haha… Oh…
