Levi awoke from the most comfortable slumber he's ever had since coming to this world. He was so tired he had to be woken up even after twelve hours of sleep.
It was still dark out when Ryan dragged him to the fields. Everyone else was still sleeping, he was told they'd eat when they returned.
The fields were ways away from the house, so far that the suns rose while they were still walking. Though they could see the fields.
"I thought your kind couldn't walk in the sun?" Ryan tried making conversation, he would be lying if he said he wasn't still nervous around the boy.
"Oh believe me, the first time I tried my skin melted to the bone. But I was able to do something about it. And here we are." He wasn't about to divulge the secret about his path.
