Walking out of the shopping district, Laylee caved in getting the team ice cream. There was silence a lot after they left the swimsuit shop until Fawn looked at Jackson, sighed, and said, "Dammit. Evelyn, look at Jackson. He's technically traumatized by the swimsuit he's wearing."
Evelyn was holding Jackson's hand and eating ice cream in the other, looks at him and see's he's a little flustered.
"Oh please," Laylee says. "Jackson don't be so shy. When we meet up with everyone, you'll feel better. Captain wears a deep midnight navy blue speedo and Bobo wears a bright pink one. You're not the only one wearing one. Kanaka wears a swim skirt with lime green and forest green palm trees on it. He prefers it because he says he doesn't have to wear anything else underneath it. All the other guys wear normal trunks, but Captain will accept you as a 'man of culture' by wearing that."
"And a man of culture he is," Goob says walking up to them. Seeing him and Evelyn holding hands he says, "Just not the same reason why Bobo and I wear them." He looks and Evelyn and says, "This was just your idea huh?"
"She wanted us to match," Jackson said shyly.
"We haven't had a proper date so that's what today is," Evelyn smiles giving her ice cream cone another lick.
Goob eyes the ice cream cone, eyes everyone else and then dawns on Laylee and puts out his hand, palm up.
"Come on, really?" Laylee whines.
"Give me back my bag. Swimsuits is one thing and now you're buying food without warning me?" Goob said. "You know the rules. Consult me on food first before buying, and when you do, get me one too."
"Well, I can get you one," Laylee said.
"Kanaka, Wasabi, and I are about to go surfing. I'm not looking to get a cramp as soon as we swim out there," Goob scolded.
"Oh come on Godric. You know that's a myth," Fawn laughed as she was enjoying her cone too.
"Wait a minute," Goob said. "Weren't you lactose intolerant?"
"Oh no no no no. I wouldn't be able to live with myself. That was my mom," Fawn said.
"Oi, are you coming?" Kanaka called out to Goob from the shore holding two surfboards.
Goob looks back at Laylee with the hand still out. "I'm waiting." She rolls her eyes as she put the coin bag in Goob's hand, "Good girl." He says as he runs off go Kanaka and they enter the water to join Wasabi in the surf area.
Laylee was blushing, "I hate how 'good girl' always makes us weak."
"Come on, I bet that's just some superstition," Evelyn smiled.
At that moment she felt Jackson pet her on the head and in her ear whispered, "Good girl." Her ice cream cone melted in her hand.
"What the hell!" She squealed in her head.
"Now that's a new one I never experienced myself," Freya was laughing.
Watching her ice cream cone melt in real time, Laylee said, "I still find it amazing that you have fire powers in a water filled world."
Cleaning her hand off with a napkin at a nearby trashcan Evelyn says, "It's a little different than you might think. Sure, water can put out fire or a flame, but my powers is not a fire or a flame. I can actually make water scalding hot. I can do other things too that makes sense that my fire is stronger than water."
"You could not be vaguer," Freya said.
Laughing, "Yeah well, I imagine I still have a lot more to find out, don't I? This system, even with you guiding me is quite Vague. Like the only skills I know about are basic fireball, flame body with Ember, and it's passive. So like-"
A screen popped up and Freya said, "You really don't take a lot of time going through the system interface do you? Here is the screen list and along this list you can unlock skills based on requirements, level, and you can spend your coin here instead of the shop to unlock them as well."
"Are you freaking kidding me?" Evelyn thought. "You seriously could not show me this at any other time?"
"Sorry," Freya laughs.
Evelyn dismisses the interface as they arrive to the sidewalk that separates the Pool from the slides and activities. Fawn says, "If you want to break off and do your own thing, you guys are perfectly open to do so. I think Laylee and I are going to find some lawn chairs to lay out and catch some sun. And I need a wing woman to scout out the men too." She giggles at the mention.
"That's fine," Evelyn says admiring the slides now.
"Come to think of it, where is Bobo and Taco?" Jackson said until they heard some singing and looked in the direction to see Bobo singing and serenading some women.
"Pig," Layle laughed.
"I'm not too far," Taco said walking up on them with three rafts. "The line was getting long so I went in right away. I saw the sparkle in Evelyn's eye when we walked in, so I decided to get you guys some rafts. The third is mine because I too live for the thrill of the slides." He laughs.
Evelyn and Jackson took the rafts and Jackson looks at the slides and after a quick study says, "I see a few slides that are technically racing slides." After he pauses, he then says, "So technically I can beat Evelyn's ass in a race over and over again."
"HEY!" Evelyn shouts. "We're supposed to be having fun. That's mean!"
"Am I just supposed to let you win?" Jackson smiles.
"Well, no," Evelyn replies shyly. "Just don't act like you're that much of hot shit."
Beginning to walk away with his raft, "Do what you want, you two. Just don't cry when I kick both your asses in its entirety."
"Oh those be fighting words," Jackson said watching Taco walking away from them.
"RACERS! TAKE YOUR MARKS!" The slide supervisor yelled as Evelyn, Jackson, and Taco loaded their rafts up on the three-person racing slide. It was a slide that starts the racers off on a fun slide course, and then pushed them up, and then straight down and the three slides combine into one and sweeps left and right as it goes downhill with water fountain shooting water at them as they try to get to the bottom first and win against whoever they're up against. strangers or friends.
"Get ready to eat my waves!" Jackson starts the trash talking.
Taco laughs and said, "Ha! You can eat my guacamole!" Evelyn, Jackson, and even the Supervisor gave him a questionable look. "My name is Taco. Should I have chosen a different filling?"
"Just continue being weird, condiment man," Evelyn joked. "You both can just eat my smoke!"
"Evelyn, I advise against producing any smoke. You'll burn the raft!" Freya interrupted.
"Oh shut up. It's just common trash talking. I wouldn't actually do it," Evelyn thought to her.
"I'm really sensing from you that you actually did consider it," Freya sighed.
"RACERS READY?" The slide supervisor yells looking at them all. "I WANT A GOOD CLEAN RIDE! AND THEN GET DIRTY TO WIN!" He yells. "RACERS… GO! GO! GO!"
A water thruster behind them pushing them into the beginning part of the enclosed slide winding left, winding right, dropping straight down. Then there was a water thruster pushing them up to a left higher than where they entered the slide. Once they reached the top, the slide opened, and Evelyn looked to her left and right at Jackson and Taco.
They stopped and then a huge rush was water flowing from the inside of the slide behind them and pushed them over the lip and down the slide at a high speed. This is the part of the slide where three slides become one and the real race to the bottom begins.
They lean left and lean right for the turns on the slide, so they don't fall off. They also try to bump into each other trying to make each other spins out and get left behind in the race.
They finally reach the straight shot down and Jackson and Taco make into Evelyn from both sides and she pulls back and as soon as they collide into each other and separate, Evelyn takes her chance to fly through them taking the lead and reaching the bottom first into the pool set up to stop them from speeding through.
Evelyn rises from under the water and yells to Taco and Jackson who arrived after her, "I WIN SUCKAS!" And they all laughed together because they still had a lot of fun.
The trio had gone on many more rides and slides throughout the rest of the day and had finally met up with Goob and everyone else and were sitting at a table to together as a waiter and waitress came by with drink purchased for everybody. A very colorful drink was placed in front of Evelyn, and she lit up with sparkling stars in her eyes.
"Before you assume, Evelyn," Goob said. "That's a virgin drink."
She looks at him and back at the drink, "That's a little disappointing but at least it's pretty," Evelyn said as she starts sipping on it.
The rest of the crew laughs as they start drinking their own that clearly are not virgin drinks. Goob looks at Bobo and says, "You strike out buddy? I don't see an additional crew member here."
"Shut up," Bobo said.
Fawn and Laylee started laughing and Fawn said, "We heard you Bobo. When you try to serenade women, maybe try not being so forward of what you want to do to them, and you might have better luck."
"What can I say!" Bobo exclaimed. "I want to be fully transparent when I'm given consent!" He looks over at Jackson and says, "I was most surprised to see that our Jackson, here, is also a man of culture!"
"Right?!" Goob exclaimed.
Jackson, laughing with them, said, "Oh yeah. Most certainly. But I still don't know what that means."
Kanaka leans over to Jackson and whispers, "It's just them saying they're cooler than anyone else who isn't man enough to wear one."
"But aren't you technically 'free willy' under yours?" Jackson asked.
Kanaka smiles and says, "It's the ultra-bliss of freedom."
"So I guess it's time to talk and tell Evelyn and Jackson why we do these stops," Goob said addressing the crew. "Technically we do these stops mostly to conduct recon." He spoke. "Yes, we're pirates. But we're also beast hunters. Sea or land. Mingle in the community and keep an ear out for people talking about anything that could be a lead. We usually go two days until we move for either the hunt or the next place nearby for recon."
"So we're super spies?" Evelyn asked.
"Spies stay out of sight," Bobo said. "We just eavesdrop. Being nosy. We'd raise too many red flags if we looked suspicious sneaking around. Especially with no target."
"Well, I'm sure Mr. Spinach might have information like that in his office." Wasabi suggested. "At least I imagine if he doesn't want another attack and have to do another reopening of the park."
"You'd think he would have done something like that from the beginning," Goob started laughing. "But I don't deny it's a good idea. Unfortunately, none of us can go invisible. Security is tight and I personally wouldn't want to go toe-to-toe with the greatest Navy Commander in history."
"Is he really that scary?" Jackson asked. He looked at Kanaka and said, "I mean can he be anymore intimidating that you Kanaka?"
"You are making fun of me for being eight feet tall?" Kanaka asked. He laughed and said, "Don't sweat it. But yeah. That puts me to shame."
"I'd like to see that," Evelyn said.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" A loudspeaker called out since the park had finally gotten dark.
Goob and the other crewmates got out of their chairs. "Oh yeah," Bobo said. "Time for the best part of the night."
Goob looked back at the crew and says, "Have fun tonight. We can get started on work tomorrow."
"THE KIDS ARE GONE SO NOW IT'S READY FOR SOME REAL FUN! DRINKS BE FLOWING AND THE MUSIC BE RUMBLING! DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! DANCE! DON'T LET THE MUSIC STOP!" And the park illuminated with flashing lights of different colors and the dance floor was the whole middle of the park and men and a women of all ages started to dance to the booming music that started after the announcer called out over the speaker.
Evelyn did her best to comprehend what was going on when Jackson pulled her buy to arm onto the dance floor and grabbed her, kissed her, and started swinging her around in a type of dance fashion. "You remember how they would dance in the pub's back on the island?"
Smiling, she said, "Of course," And followed Jackson's lead.
"Hold on, shit. Freya, I won't end up lighting this place on fire, will I?" She thought to Freya.
"Don't worry your adorable little head," She giggled. "Your fire ballet is only what it is because you willed the fire to come out. You also have total control so there is no way for it to leak out without your say so."
With that confirmation, Evelyn began to go into the dance fully with Jackson. The music was the right tempo for them to swing around the way they were familiar with it. Evelyn and Jackson were happy, exchanging cheerful and fulfilling smiles with one another.
The night went on for hours until Evelyn and Jackson had made it back to the ship. In the hallway they started kissing, making out. Jackson began kissing and biting her neck and she couldn't help herself but cry out, but not in pain. They got to the space between their rooms before pulling back and staring into each other's eye with intensity screaming "I want you!"
"Good news," Freya then said. "Go for it. I found the privacy setting."

Smiling again. Evelyn swung Jackson around and into her room and locked the door behind her.
With the wind on her face, Evelyn looked to her side to see Jackson on a wave runner trying to catch up with her, "I told you that you wouldn't be able to catch up with me!" She yelled out.
"Be nice to the boy," Freya said. "Reading your vitals, you owe him after I left you along last night,"
"Oh pish-posh," Evelyn thinks to her. "He was the one who was Mr. Lazybones getting up this morning."
"Oh man. Gee, I wonder why," Freya replied sarcastically.
Getting up the next morning, Evelyn and Jackson agreed to try out the wave runners and get ski's together before going around the park on "recon" for any leads on sea beats and where these people are from or where they're talking about.
Evelyn reached the docks for the wave runner and jet ski rental port first and then looks back at Jackson as he comes in and says, "Suck it!"
Pulling into the spot next to her, he says, "I think we found out who's best at s-"
"NO! NOPE!" Evelyn cuts him off blushing bright red.
Jackson almost fell in the water getting off the wave runner and onto the dock from Evelyn's outburst.
Wasabi was waiting for them at the exit of the wave runner line. "What's up? Not catching a quick surf?" Evelyn asked.
"No, the same people that were out there yesterday are the same people there today so that resource is exhausted. But Captain was going to go out for an hour by himself just in case anything else came out of them."
"So why are you here?" Jackson asked.
"Well, Laylee was supposed to teach you guys about how to do recon, but something 'happened' last night. I never saw it coming, but I think she'll be a little busy for a while." Wasabi said.
"And what was it that 'happened?" Evelyn asked hoping it was the answer she wanted.
"Laylee and Kanaka hooked up and have been in her nest ever since last night," Wasabi said.
Evelyn squealed from excitement.
"You knew?" Wasabi said.
"Well she kind of came out and said it in the bath and Fawn was on her that she needed to tell him, and soon." Evelyn said smiling and spotting Laylee's nest from where they were standing on the ship at the docks. Also being a little happy that with her eyesight, Laylee's windows had blinds.
"Well are you guys ready to start?" Wasabi changed the subject.
At the moment a loud boom sounded and the entire place shook. Some people lost their balance and fell. Everyone was looking around frantically at what that shaking was. They looked out at the water and saw Goob paddling as fast as he could for the shore and waving at Jackson to get his attention. Did a hand signal and Jackson turned and ran for the ship at top speed.
"What's happening?" Evelyn asked Wasabi who had an angry expression on his face.
He sighs and says, "Exactly what I was afraid of."
A giant sea beast rose from the water of the giant pool. It was like a large blue serpent with piercing lime green eyes and a dark midnight black colored mane.
