She had called the numbers in several business cards and found that that either they have ended their auditions or are not accepting new trainees as of the moment.
All of this just made the pounding in her head hurt even worse.
She was down to a few more cards when her phone let out a sudden chime. She hurriedly opened it and saw that it was a little reminder from her virtual calendar: Onyx audition, January 15, 1:30pm.
Onyx?
If she had previously auditioned for it, she would have remembered.
She tried doing a quick online search and couldn't find a website. She went through her email and found an invitation to their audition.
Hi Ms. Kiera,
I am a representative of a new agency, Onyx.
We have looked through your several of your work and we're interested in seeing more.
We would like to invite you to an initial audition this coming 15 January, at 1:30pm.
Should you pass the initial audition, you would be undergoing an intensive fortnight of training. After which a final assessment will be done to finalize the selected actors.
We will be able to share more information once you pass the initial audition.
Regards,
Amanda Thorne

She had shakily sat on her bed and had to put her head between her legs as she fought the nausea that suddenly overcame her.
She had an invite. An invite to damn Onyx.
An invite she most probably ignored.
Good God.
She didn't know the number of times she had cursed every deity in existence for never giving her a chance. She worked so hard to get any role but it's always one useless agency, to lecherous old directors and producers, to useless roles. She always thought if she was just given one chance, just one, she would be able to achieve her dreams.
But here it was. An invite she was sure she never even applied for, an invite she did not grasp in her hands because it was a new agency.
She was an idiot.
Was all that hardship due to snubbing this golden chance so she suffered for the rest of her life?
Her must have used all her good luck just to get this chance and only not to take it.
She didn't know if she should cry or laugh as she remember all the misery she had went through.
Onyx, Inc., or simply Onyx, would sky rocket to become the agency to be 3 years from now. The initial trainees they took were honed to become some of the best actors and actresses in the business. It became everyone's dream to join them but after their fame they became so much stricter in who they accept.
"You were lucky if you're part of the first batch. They were looking for more rough talents they knew they could train than already established actors." Kiera remembered hearing one of the senior actresses mention it.
Kiera composed herself. This was it the chance she was waiting for.
She'll do anything to get through the initial audition.
