Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

Kiera had years of trying to understand several characters, and one thing an old acting coach had repeated in every session was, "One of the things you must remember when preparing for a role would be to know the essence of it. What is the root? Where does your character stem from?"

She had pounded it into their heads every day, practically yelled it to them every time she was dissatisfied with their character understanding. Those words are practically ringing in her ears right now. And one of the things to make a character truly yours was to dress the part.

An audition theme of Natural. It's not something anyone can easily embrace with so little preparation.

She had quickly taken off her make up and she was happy to have somehow chunked her moisturizer into her tote. She had also shaken out her curls to bring some bounce back in them after putting them half up on the way.

She took off her earrings and necklace and placed them into a pouch she used to store them.

She studied the clothes she decided on, it was a skin-tone camisole with some built in padding and skin tone leggings. It practically felt like being back in ballet school when she was younger.

She didn't know if it was some test but she found this set almost carelessly tossed behind several other outfits. She was just thankful there were size options. A small camisole would not have done the job for her.

She had tucked the camisole into her leggings and stretched out.

She put on one of the oversized white blouses and loose pants to keep from walking around looking naked.

She gave herself another once over. 'That's the best it's going to be.'

She had decided to stay in the little cubicle until their guide came and got them, when a sudden commotion outside made her curious enough to take peek.

There were two women currently having their conversation getting louder and louder.

"You weren't using it!" the blonde hissed as she kept the products, she took behind her and out of reach of the red-head trying to practically claw off her face.

"You had not asked to get them at all! You came barging in to my cubicle all friendly then the next thing I know you practically got all the products off the table and I want those back!"

There was a little scuffle with both of them trying to get the pouch of products.

Though shorter by half a foot, the red-head had the unexpected strength and long nails to her advantage which she was not afraid of using. The scrambling ended with the blonde on the floor with several scratch marks along her arms.

The blonde looked at the red marks, "You bitch!" she practically screeched.

All of sudden it was a cat fight with hair tugging and more screaming. The rest of the women present were too shocked to react at first at the sudden downturn of events.

Some of the nicer women went forward to try and separate them, but most of them just looked on. It was better not to get into unnecessary scenes.

Once upon a time Kiera might have though the women trying to calm the two fighting was actually doing it from the goodness of their hearts but she's seen too many things in her time in showbusiness where she never believed in good will.

'People don't do anything for nothing. Nothing gained in that mess.' Kiera thought sourly. With her experienced eye she can point out some of them egging the two ladies on, some remarks of. "You're being too much! Her arms are all red!"

Fanning the flames is a masterful art but these girls hadn't had the experience the women she'd worked with had.

The fight found itself near the doors. The blonde shoved the red-head off her. The red-head stumbled just as the door opened and the was a sudden shout from the doorway.
