If Kiera had not heard this from an Onyx actress who went through the first audition, she would have stressed more on what to wear and her make up. She wasn't sure if there would be any changes but after the thousands of auditions, she had been through she knew getting unnecessarily anxious would do nothing good.
She would have wanted to run to gain some semblance of inner peace but she was short of time as it was and there was a lot of things she needed to get done before the audition. She went through her clothes to find anything that would pass for an audition outfit.
After rummaging all she found to pass was a plain white fitted shirt, waist high black jeans and black heels. For auditions for acting parts, it was either show up as a blank canvas and make the director or producer or their agents able to imagine how you would look as the character; or show up as the character entirely, which might have the possibility of clashing against their vision of the character.
Wearing the former was always the safest bet.
She decided to do a quick bath and washing and styling her hair. She cringed when she saw that she did not have the needed products for hair that she was used to using.
She took a look at her bank balance and cringed.
Should she spend some money to make sure her hair was its best or should she pray, it would be a good hair day?
She gritted her teeth and ordered the necessary products for express delivery, she'll be able to use them in the future, they're investments.
She looked at the time, 8:15am, she had time.
She was ready after a thorough bath and wrangling with her curls until they're tamed in beautiful waves and putting all the instant moisturizing tricks she had.
She took an early brunch of grilled toast, some eggs and tomato soup.
She decided to take the train to the offices indicated in the email. It was a prime location in the central area of several other talent agencies.
She arrived 10 mins before the indicated time and decided it was enough not to seem too eager.
She took a deep breath and braced herself for whatever she would encounter in this audition.
