Chapter 38
Narrator Pov:
"Who was that?," Hunter asks Hiccup.
"Oh it wa—," Hiccup can't finish as he is cut off.
"HAYDON!!! Get your butt out here this minute!," Jake yells at the top of his lungs from outside.
Hunter freezes and goes to the window and opens it, sticking his head out. "What do you want you musclehead!," Hunter yells, not recognizing the towering woman.
Jake starts walking towards Hunter, and slowly it turns into a jog, and then a run. Next thing you know they are jumping up into the window. Jake lands on the windowsill and stays there.
"You patented my computer and phone and are planning on selling it?," Jake asks Hunter.
"Jake?! Well, you see, I, well, umm," Hunter says having a hard time finding an answer.
"You will not be selling my technology. If you want to just sell your own," Jake informs him, mad and angry.
"But you know I am not good at that kind of stuff," Hunter complains.
"To bad, aren't you a cyber security agent of sorts. Can't you just create software off of that to sell," Jake tells him.
"Sure, it wasn't solid enough anyway," Hunter says, the last part mumbled.
"What was that?," Jake asks as she was about to leave.
"Fine, my employee managed to hack into my servers and find the name, despite me encrypting it using your software. You want someone to blame for it being found out, blame yourself!," Hunter replies back, frustrated.
"If they managed to break into it then they are better than you. Guess I will have to update the system somehow. Also, how come you and the other guys got stuck in this dorm and not dorm 400?," Jake asks.
"Well, you see, we didn't want to stand out as it might give us away. So we hid our talents, the others weren't that good all those years ago, and you and Emma look completely different so there is that," Hunter replies.
"I see," Jake responds. With that he jumps out of the window and walks back to his dorm, the students puzzled as to what he was doing.
"How goes his efforts?," A masked man asks his servant.
"As you know he failed in killing them over 3 years ago. He was unable to confirm his death and even his pawn got killed. The only reason he is acting now is because a code was issued off the coast and it was one belonging to the Berkians, it is their island though. So he suspected that he was indeed not dead and is going to investigate," The servant replies.
"How does he plan on getting him in the first place though? Didn't he lose over 90% of his forces last time?," The masked man asks.
"While that may be true sir he dug through the backgrounds of all the people who lived in that house and found something. There was a man who had a grudge against him and he hired him on in return for freedom and his old position back," The servant replies.
"I see, I see, that will be all for now, I need to go report to my client," The masked man replies and the servant leaves. The masked man picks up his phone and dials a number.
"What do you want Lionheart?," Is heard over the phone.
"One of my sons is going after that bastard again. We will be getting that technology for you, no matter what," Lionheart says over the phone.
"Good, but remember this. While I may not be like my master who gives no second chances, I still do not like failure. If you fail me this time, I will be having your son killed, maybe you as well depending on how this supposed plan goes. You are a mere intermediary, I can simply cut you out if that is what you want," The person says over the phone, scaring Lionheart.
"U-u-understood sir. All hail the 4 conquerors and the killer of —," Lionheart says, the last word inaudible.
"Yes, All hail the 4 conquerors and the killer of —. By the way, how are they doing on finding what I asked about. I want to surprise my master with it when we find it," The person asks over the phone.
"We are still searching, but one of our bugs in the Berkian intelligence office caught something. Apparently there are two children from the same island that the treasure is on. Eugene thinks they are related to the failure over 3 years ago. He doesn't know that this place is also something we are searching for," Lionheart says over the phone.
"Since they grew up there, they have the best chance of knowing facts or clues to where the treasure is!," The other person says over the phone coming to a realization.
"I came to the same conclusion sir. I haven't told my son yet, but I will get right to it," He responds.
"Wait a second, who did your son think he was?," The man asks.
"They thought she was somehow that programmer who worked for Alexander Benjamin, and was somehow the geek who blew up 700 Viking avenue. He thinks that despite the one she is supposedly being is male," Lionheart informs him.
"That is impossible, it isn't him, tell your son that. Anyway, do have him catch that girl or her sister to tell us where it is on the island. After that the men and him can have their fun with them before killing them or sending them to a whorehouse. I need to go now, goodbye," The man over the phone says.
"Copy that sir, goodbye," Lionheart replies. With that the phone call is hung up and he dials again.
"Yes father?," Eugene says through the phone.
"Son, I got some information for you. That girl is not who you think they are, they also know the location of something that our client needs. I need you to capture Jake or Emma Wolf, or Harper Surval, or all of them. I need them to find something, after we have what we need, you and your men can have your fun with them, send them to maximum security prison, kill them, I don't care, but only after I get what I need," Lionheart tells him.
"Copy that," Eugene responds.
"Repeat that again," A voice says.
"I plan on getting rid of the intermediary and going directly to the person. They may withheld information or give to much. Plus, I don't trust someone who is not actually father and son," The voice from over the phone from before says over a phone.
"Alright Jorn, but do not disappoint me," The person respondes.
"Alright Nygren," Jorn says over the phone. The call is hung up and Nygren makes a call.
"Yes Nygren?," Is heard.
"So...," Nygren proceeds to tell his boss everything.
"Good work," He responds.
"Of course, Krogan," Nygren replies.
