They met in Ogun state, so far away from home. She was just unemployed and not actually looking for job. She just want to spend the remaining if her life in waste. She spent just one month doing nothing but just watching kdrama and animes, reading contemporary novels about a heroin that made the people beg for her to return to the job they fired her from, for the mistake she made. But since the major investor is crushing on her, everything is possible. But these people in Jimmy's situation knows how powerful she is but they still fired her anyway, even when it is not her fault. The difference between her and the heroin is the fact that this is real life.
She doesn't really go out and instead order in anything she wants. But as fate would have it she came out that day. She was fully dressed, as if she had somewhere to go or someone to meet. They ran into each other like a typical cliche story, and broke all the crate of eggs standing pityfully on one side. She quickly got of him and he did too not minding the slippery eggs on the floor which triggered another fall, which this time around is on the sachets of water stacked on top of each other. They both laughed so hard before getting up slowly. The shop attendant is with her phone ready to call the police at any sign of running.
"Sir you would have to pay for all these eggs and water. They are just recently stocked". She was ready to blow up the issue if they try to haggle their way out.
The young Mayowa looked embarrassed and said, "can I pay in instalment, I don't think I can pay the half in a go". He was thinking about what type of luck he had in the morning. Why does this girl ruin my day so early in the morning.
"No sir I don't think that can be done, we need to get some more produce since people have already booked for eggs and water"
"Nevermind about the payments," she turned back to the cashier, "calculate the price and put it on my tab" she brought out her ATM card. The cashier and embarrassed guy was surprised, she had thought the guy would be the one to pay, the guy was even cursing Jumoke internally.
"Oh! We can actually spill the bill, I don't mind." Jumoke was about to say'You were not supposed to mind, we made the mistake together anyway' but she decided to let it go.
"Nah, don't worry." The cashier told them that the total amount of the eggs is 80 thousand Naira. With the the water she had to part with 95 thousand Naira. Mayowa was surprised, he thought the amount would be around 20 thousand Naira or something around that. Thank God he didn't volunteer or insist to pay.And the girls was not even shaken at the absurd amount. The girl must be really rich. What kind of job can she be doing to be making this much money and still be able to maintain her beauty? She is pretty, very pretty infact maybe the most beautiful woman he had seen. Scratch that she really is the most beautiful woman. Runs girl, the one lucky enough to get rich men. There's no way a man will marry such girl, to beautiful for her own good. He bet her boyfriend is using her,how lucky he is.
"Can I get your number so I can thank you when I get home?" Maybe she would fall for me too, he thought.
"That is not necessary you know, I just paid a few amount that's all." Jumoke noticed the way he stares at her and it's not nice. She hated it.
"Maybe if we meet another time you would give me your number?" He said trying is luck again, there's no way he would go without something.
"Of course." Hope I never meet you again, though he's cute but the look on his eyes is not one she wants to associate with.
"Am Mayowa, what is your name?"
"Whenever we meet again." Jumoke... She almost said her name, he's handsome, hope I am wrong about him. We would get along well.
"Please can I use the restroom?" There's no way she's leaving smelling like eggs. She would need a change of clothes too. "I will need a dress to change into."
"Yes of course ma, I would have someone go to the next stall to get a gown." She led her to the bathroom and Mayowa said he's place is close.

Jumoke got home after doing all the groceries she went outside to do. She arranged everything in her kitchen and washed the soiled clothe. It now smells like the eggs has been broken for two days now, her face is grumpy when she put the cloth in the washing machine. Just as was has about to put it in, her door bell rang. She is here the only person that understand me, my best friend, my soulmate in form of a friend. Pelumi, my childhood friend the major reason I can still move forward in my life.
She entered before I can get out of laundry.
"Ayomi, Ayomi where are you". She is the only one that calls my second name, Ayomide, it means my joy has come, the short form mean my joy.
"I'm in my laundry". I half yelled. I went out of the room before she get lost in my house, but not really surprisingly I saw her just outside the door. How the hell did she know where the laundry is? She hasn't been here before.
"I'm sure I arranged my house differently from the previous one, how the heck did you know where the laundry is?" I said, hugging her and maybe squeezing her. I missed her so much.
"I know you more than you know yourself Ayomi." We stayed like that for a while before we separated, how much I needed that hug, I can even cry. "How are you doing Ayomi, you know I am here right". Yes, she is always here even when she is at the end of the country.
"If it was morning you asked I would have cried."
"What happened to you this afternoon, I want to know everything, but what the hell is smelling, are selling rotten eggs?" She was smiling before her face squinted in disgust. I busted into laughter before narrating all that happened with the eggs today.
