Eric left the office, he hurried to his car and pulled out his phone. He had to call his lawyer and make sure everything was in order. As he drove to the adoption office, he thought about what it would be like to have a child. He had always wanted to be a father, but he never thought it would actually happen. Now, it was all coming together, and he couldn't wait to meet his new son or daughter. He pulled into his driveway and ran inside, eager to start the process of adoption.
Eric pulled into the parking lot of the adoption office and took a deep breath. As he walked through the door, he saw a sign that said "Welcome." It was a small comfort, but it made him feel a little less anxious. He sat down in the waiting room, trying to calm his nerves.
The receptionist called his name and he got up, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. He followed her down a hallway, trying to take in all the details. The walls were painted a pale yellow, and there were children's drawings hanging on them. As they approached the office, he could hear the sound of children.
As he rapped his knuckles on the director's door,
"Please, come in," said a calming voice, emanating from within the room.
Upon entering the office, Mr. Berry gestured for Eric to take a seat.
Mr. Berry's gaze was warm and inviting, but there was a hint of concern in his eyes. "Mr. Eric," he said slowly, "there are some issues with your application. I need you to come back tomorrow so we can go over them."
Eric's heart sank. What could be wrong with his application? He had filled out all the forms, answered all the questions. He had been so sure that he was ready for this. But now, it seemed like there was something wrong. "Of course," he said, trying to sound calm. "I'll be here."
Mr. Berry nodded and said " alright ".
Eric could feel his heart sink as he heard the words "come back tomorrow." He wanted to ask why the documents weren't complete, but he didn't want to come across as impatient or demanding. So he just nodded and said, "I understand. Thank you for your time."
He turned to leave, his mind racing with thoughts and questions. Why weren't the documents complete? Was there a problem? Would he still be able to adopt the child? He tried to push the thoughts away, but they kept coming back. As he drove home, he couldn't stop thinking about it.
When he finally arrived home, he pulled into his driveway, the automatic gate opened and he drove through. He was just about to step out of his car when he noticed something strange in the sky. A small, blue object was falling towards his garden, and he could only stare in disbelief as it landed with a soft thud. What on earth was that? He cautiously walked over to investigate, but the closer he got, the more bizarre the object seemed. It looked like an egg, but it was far too big to be from a chicken.
The egg was glowing with a strange blue light, and it was pulsing rhythmically. Eric reached out to touch it, but he hesitated. Something about the egg felt otherworldly, and he wasn't sure if it was safe. But his curiosity got the better of him, and he slowly put his hand on the egg. As soon as his hand made contact, the egg began to crack. Slowly, a small creature emerged from the shell. It looked like a baby, but its eyes were bright blue and it had a blue hair. It looked up at Eric and cooed softly.
