Chapter 6 - THE IDEA

The moment Eric heard the news, he called out to Monica, who was busy working in the kitchen. His voice was urgent and filled with concern, and he couldn't wait to share what he had just heard. The sound of his voice startled Monica, who dropped the dish she was holding and rushed into the living room to see what was wrong."

Eric's face was a mixture of confusion, concern, and anger. He looked at Monica, his eyes narrowed and his voice stern. "You knew what happened at Aries' school and you didn't tell me?" Monica's face went pale, a look of guilt and fear etched on her features. "I... I was going to tell you after dinner," she stammered, her voice trembling. "But how did you find out?" Eric let out a long sigh and shook his head. "I saw him on the news," he said. Monica's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're kidding!

"Eric's expression was tense and serious, his brow furrowed and his jaw set. Monica could tell that he was deeply concerned about something, and she felt a wave of anxiety wash over her. "Eric, you're scaring me. What's wrong?" she asked. Eric paced back and forth, his hands clenched into fists. "I'm not kidding, Monica. I'm really glad Aries saved the girl and her mother but a famous scientist revealer Jack wants to experiment on Aries and as a scientist I know what it's like to get experimented on . Aries is just five years old, and he is far too young to be subjected to the horrors of Revealer Jack's experiments. I heard rumors from my colleagues at work that the scientist would stop at nothing to get what he wanted.

Monica's face was a mask of worry and fear, as she thought about what might happen to her son. The thought of her sweet, innocent son being used as an experiment made her feel sick to her stomach. She knew firsthand the horrors of scientific experimentation, and the thought of her son being used as a test subject filled her with horror and dread. Aries was just a little boy, with so much life ahead of him. He deserved to have a normal childhood, not one filled with pain and fear ,she knew they had to do something to protect their son.

Eric ran his hands through his hair and paced around the room, finally getting Monica's attention. 'I have an idea!' he exclaimed. Monica looked up, eager to hear any potential solution. 'What is it?' she asked.

As the seconds ticked by, Eric could feel the pressure mounting. He needed to say something, but his mind was blank. He took a deep breath and began to speak. "We can stay at my father's house in Toronto," Eric said, trying to sound optimistic. "It's a quiet, out-of-the-way place, so we'll be safe there. It's just a few hours away."

Monica bit her lip, a worried look on her face. "But what about your job?"

"I can apply for a position at the D&C Research Institute," Eric said, his voice betraying a hint of anxiety. "And I'll tell them I can only work at night. That way, I can be here during the day to homeschool Eric. Maybe then, nothing like this will ever happen again."

He looked at Monica's face, trying to gauge her reaction. She looked puzzled, and he could see the questions forming in her mind.

Monica's face showed her concern. "I understand why you want to keep Eric safe, but I'm worried about him being homeschooled. He's always loved being around other kids. Will he be okay without that?"

"I understand your concern, and I share it. I know how important it is for kids to have friends and to be around other kids. But for now, I just can't risk it. I know it's not an ideal solution, but I promise we'll find ways to make it work. I'll do everything I can to make sure he still has a good childhood, despite what's happened."

And when the time is right, we can even consider sending him back to school," Eric said. "But for now, I just need to know that he's safe."

"Okay," Monica said, her voice resigned but determined. "We'll go to Toronto tomorrow, and I'll pack everything we need. But I want you to promise me that you'll do everything you can to make sure this won't affect his childhood too much. He's just a little boy, and he deserves to be happy and to have a normal life."

"Yeah ," Eric said, nodding. He could tell that Monica was trying to focus on something else to take her mind off the situation. "Do you want me to finish the cooking?"

"No, that's okay," Monica said, her voice wavering slightly. "I just need to keep busy right now. But thank you for offering."Of course," Eric said. "I'm here if you need anything. Just let me know."

"Alright" Monica said, trying to keep her voice steady. With a forced smile, she turned back to the kitchen, forcing herself to concentrate on the task at hand.
