Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

The carriage reached Domremy safely and the carriage master decided to wake up the sleeping Rayan.

"Monsieur, we have arrived safely!" - exclaimed the master, shaking Rayan's body.

Rayan's eyes twitched and he slowly opened his eyes. "Thank you..." - he said slightly sleepily, standing up and hanging the sack on his shoulder.

Handing over the sack of coins, he stepped out of the carriage.

Rayan was feeling much better. His prana reserves had successfully recovered.

Walking down the path to Jeanne's house, he mentally opened the interface. Selecting the quest tab, he picked up the reward.

Seeing the replenishment in his inventory, he smiled slightly. "My knowledge of natural sciences partly allows me to create a training program... It's really convenient."

Reaching the house, he opened the door and a small body immediately crashed into him.

A bag fell out of his hand and he reflexively hugged the person in front of him.

"I was worried about you, Rayan! Why did you go to the neighboring village?!" - With tears in her eyes, she said it with pain in her voice.

She knew that in the neighboring village people were dying of an unknown disease and the local authorities did not know what measures to take.

She was thinking of the most horrible cases, even that he himself might have gotten this strange disease...

Rayan, on the other hand, felt guilty for making this girl worry about him. "I'm sorry for not telling you... But I had to do it." - he said softly, yet firmly.

Jeanne only nodded and pulled back from his embrace. "Next time, please tell me." - she asked him firmly. She couldn't stand it if he left again without saying anything...

Rayan nodded and smiled. "Look what I brought. I helped some locals and they gave me some wheat." - Pointing to the sack, he pronounced.

Jeanne marveled slightly and walked over to the sack and opened it.

She noticed not only wheat, but also carrots, potatoes...

"Mom will definitely be pleased!" - she exclaimed.

Isabella, who had come out of the kitchen, approached the two children. "What's wrong, Rayan?" - She asked curiously.

"Rayan brought a bag of vegetables!" - Without waiting for Rayan to answer, Jeanne exclaimed.

Isabella made a surprised face. Walking over to the bag and taking a look at its contents, she smiled softly at Rayan. "You've done well, Rayan. This bag of vegetables is enough for a couple months." - Saying this, she stroked his head, to which Rayan did not resist.

Removing her hand, she picked up the bag and carried it into the kitchen, leaving Jeanne and Rayan alone.

"Would you like to go for a walk in the woods?" - Jeanne nodded at his suggestion and the two of them walked out of the house.

Walking down the path, Rayan decided to break the silence. "Jeanne... Do you remember how I saved you? Perhaps out of fear you forgot about that incident, but..." - After a tense pause, he continued. "Don't tell anyone about it. If you tell, it will create danger for all of us."

Jeanne, sensing Rayan's tenseness, made a serious expression and nodded at his words. "Of course! I will carry this secret with me." - She said firmly.

Rayan laughed. "Your serious face is really cute." - At his teasing, Jeanne blushed and punched him with her little fists, which made Rayan laugh even harder.

As they continued to walk along the trail and talk about various insignificant topics, they didn't notice how time began to pass much faster than usual...

Rayan looked up and noticed that evening had struck.

Sighing, he turned to Jeanne and said. "We should go home, it's already evening..."

Jeanne looked up at the sky as well and nodded. "Let's go."

Reaching home, they ate the dinner Isabella had prepared and went to their rooms.

Lying on the bed, Rayan decided to look at the rings given to him by the system.

Two rings suddenly appeared in his hand, the size of his hands. They were blue in color and had some lines indicating that they were capable of changing shape.

Putting one ring on his hand, he decided to infuse it with prana out of curiosity.

Feeling the weight of the ring increase from 10 kilograms to 100 kilograms, he smiled contentedly. "From tomorrow my training will begin..." - he thought excitedly, covering his eyes and drifting off into dreamland...
