"Sorry, I slept off." I apologized and immediately sat up on the bed.
"It's ok, dear. Sorry for interrupting you in the middle of your sleep. It's time to have your food. So, I have to wake you up." Beth gave an explanation, feeling guilty for waking me up.
"Did I say anything rude without my knowledge? Aa, I have to remember that I am Maya for now, and I have to remember this until I reveal my true identity," I thought to myself.
"No, Beth, you haven't disturbed me. Please don't apologize; in fact, I need to be thankful to you for caring about me," I said, taking her hands in mine and giving a gentle squeeze.
"You silly girl. It's my responsibility. Anyway, get up and come down. Or else food will get cold," she rushed me to get up from the bed, to which I nodded my head and walked down off the bed.
"I will be there at ten. Sorry for all the trouble you took," I said in a gentle tone, and then she went out of the door.
