Chapter 59 - Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye, and soon Luke ushered in his second official mission.

[World: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?]

[Mission Difficulty: C~B level]

[Detected that the agent possesses special privileges; identity implantation will be conducted on the agent.]

[Please choose the faction.]

Luke looked at the panel, which densely provided numerous options.

Whether they had appeared in the original work or not, various 'familia,' ranging from the familiar to the unfamiliar, made Luke a bit dazzled.

After a brief look, Luke found his target.

Since it's a world called 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?,' the main mission undoubtedly revolves around the central hub of this world, the labyrinthine city of 'Orario,' and the deep, bottomless 'Dungeon' located within the city.

"Choice: Loki Familia."

Therefore, a dominant Familia that could easily come into contact with key plot characters was Luke's best choice.

"Detected that the agent holds the title 'Swordsman,' which will affect the identity implantation."

"Mission start!"

Labyrinth City 'Orario'

This is a city built by the gods, named after the magnificent underground labyrinth called Dungeon located at the center of the city.

This 'Dungeon' existed even before the construction of 'Orario.'

At that time, countless monsters surged out from the 'Dungeon,' invading the surface world.

To combat the incessant flow of monsters, various races such as humans, elves, dwarves, pallums, amazonesses, and more produced numerous 'heroes.'

These 'heroes' defeated the monsters, defended their races and homelands, leaving behind their own legends.

Later, the 'heroes' grew old, either defeated by monsters or succumbed to old age.

Their legends and legacies, however, continued with each new generation of 'heroes,' echoing through every corner of the world.

This cycle persisted until the arrival of the 'gods.'

One day, the gods grew tired of the monotonous life in heaven. Seeking excitement and enjoyment, they descended to the lower world where the 'mortals' lived.

With their miraculous divine powers, the gods transformed the lower world.

They expelled most of the monsters on the surface and restricted them from coming out of the 'Dungeon.'

Above the entrance of the 'Dungeon,' they established a 'playground' belonging to the gods.

That is the Labyrinth City 'Orario.'

To satisfy their desire for excitement and enjoyment and to ensure the smooth progression of the 'game,' the gods set rules for themselves.

The gods in the lower world are prohibited from using their divine powers and must live a life similar to the 'mortals.'

Simultaneously, the gods are forbidden from entering the dungeon, or else they will face punishment.

Prioritizing their own entertainment, the gods experience everything in the lower world – food, interests, friendships, art, and even illness.

They savor every moment, thoroughly enjoying it as if playing a game.

Due to the gods' 'reckless behavior,' the era of the 'heroes' came to an end.

With the absence of monsters threatening homes and races, 'heroes' ceased to be born.

Only a fraction of the 'heroes' from the previous era and young individuals attracted by the legends of 'heroes' remain.

They follow the traces of the disappearing monsters, arriving at the gods' playground, the Labyrinth City 'Orario.'

Their arrival astonishes the gods and sparks a new interest among them. Gods, familias, and adventurers were born from this.

Led by Zeus and Hera, the first batch of gods in the lower world bestows 'blessings/falna' upon these people.

Those blessed by the gods display corresponding divine marks on their backs and join the respective gods' team, forming groups similar to families, guilds, or nations known as 'Familias.'

Thus, heroes, adventurers, and gods live together in the Labyrinth City 'Orario.'

Because of the gods' blessings, ordinary people become adventurers, and heroes become even more powerful.

Therefore, counterattacking and exploring the dungeon become the central theme of 'Orario.'

This marks the beginning of a new era. However, the true end of the old era, the era of heroes, is due to another event.

In Orario, the two most powerful Familias, the Zeus Familia and the Hera Familia, suffered a major loss of their main forces in an 'accident.' The Familias' influence and power plummeted almost entirely.

At this critical moment, the Loki Familia and the Freya Familia joined forces to expel the weakened Zeus and Hera Familias. As defeated forces, they were ordered not to re-enter 'Orario.'

Following this battle, the era of 'heroes' officially exited the stage, making way for the era of adventurers.

It is from this time onward that expulsion from 'Orario' is considered one of the most severe punishments.

Luke joined one of the most powerful forces in present-day 'Orario,' the Loki Familia.
