Chapter 65 - Adventurers!

Chapter 65 - Adventurers!

"Here we are; this will be your room from now on."

Finn handed the key to Luke and pointed at the door in front of them.

The room wasn't large, but it wasn't small either; just an ordinary single room.

There was a bed that could fit two people if they squeezed, a desk and a chair under the window, a not-too-large bookshelf against the wall, a wardrobe at the entrance, and a single-person bathroom.

Because there wasn't much in it, the room seemed somewhat spacious and desolate.

Compared to his room in "Oushinden" where Luke had lived in Asterisk City, it was like night and day difference, but Luke was still satisfied.

He didn't have high demands for his living space, and the room provided by Loki Familia was considered upper-class in the entire "Orario."

"My room is nearby. Take a shower and change your clothes first. I'll come find you in a bit."

Not only Luke, but Finn himself also intended to freshen up.

However, he didn't want little Ais to tag along with him.

Finn first looked up at Luke and, seeing him shake his head, indicating that he didn't mind, spoke to little Ais.

"Ais, can you sit here for a while with brother Luke? I will come back to you later."

Little Ais glanced at Luke, then nodded obediently and walked into the room, sitting on a chair.

Seeing little Ais being so obedient, both Finn and Luke sighed in relief.

Neither of them had experience with children, and they were a bit afraid that Ais might not agree and cause a scene.

Fortunately, Ais was very well-behaved.

After Finn left, Luke closed the door and prepared to take a shower and change clothes.

Inside the wardrobe were casual clothes prepared in advance, with a simple black and white-gray color scheme for both the shirt and pants.

Luke wasn't picky, so he randomly chose a set that fit well and walked into the bathroom.

During this process, little Ais kept staring at Luke.

She observed Luke and compared him in her mind to the figure named 'father.'

Even after Luke entered the bathroom, her gaze remained in his direction. Inside her small head, she kept recalling the image of her father's back and the battle she had witnessed just before.

Having quickly cleaned up and changed into new clothes, Luke walked out of the bathroom only to find little Ais staring straight at him.

Her eyes were vacant, and it seemed like she was lost in thought.

Since there was only one chair in the room, Luke could only walk to the edge of the bed and sit down.

Perhaps the sound of him sitting down was a bit loud. Little Ais, who was in a daze, subconsciously turned her head in the direction of the sound.

However, even though her head turned, she remained in a daze.

Luke looked at Ais's cute little face. In fact, until Finn left just now and called out her name, Luke didn't know that the little girl in front of him was the future main heroine.

Comparing the current girl with the 'Sword Princess' he had in mind, Luke unintentionally started to daydream.

The room was quiet until Finn knocked on the door and entered.

He looked confused, staring at the two of them, one big and one small, who were mutually gazing at each other in a daze.

"What are you two... doing?"

Finn, along with Luke and little Ais, circled around the "Twilight Manor."

The Familia's headquarters, a building used for rest and gathering, didn't have any particular functionalities.

Apart from providing accommodation, there were front and back yards for members' activities, a few meeting rooms, and a large room for banquets or mobilization.

Because almost all adventurers didn't stay in the "Twilight Manor" during the day, there was no dedicated restaurant or cafeteria/canteen.

However, there was a kitchen, and although not many used it, occasionally, someone would spontaneously decide to cook a meal.

In this world without "high-technology," there wasn't much to do inside the room during the day—reading a book or writing being the best one could do.

Familias like "Loki Familia," focused on exploring the dungeon, meant their members almost always entered the dungeon during the day.

Entering the dungeon, defeating monsters, obtaining magic stones and materials, selling them for money, and simultaneously honing and enhancing their combat abilities—this was the daily life of regular adventurers, day after day, year after year.

For this type of adventurer, life was quite dull.

Their lives consisted mainly of fighting, fighting, and endless fighting.

Perhaps it was because of this routine that many adventurers with twisted personalities and questionable/evil deeds have appeared.

Of course, there were also "life-oriented" adventurers who didn't engage in dungeon exploration.

They were involved in commerce, blacksmithing, alchemy, and various other professions in the city.

After introducing "Twilight Manor," Finn also took them around the vicinity of the Familia's headquarters.

By the way, he also introduced several shops to Luke and little Ais that were well-received among the Familia members.

After having lunch, Finn left. After all, as the leader of the entire Loki Familia, he had many things to attend to, making him the busiest person in the Familia.

Replacing Finn, the one who would lead the two newcomers into the dungeon for the first time in the afternoon was Riveria, the "Vice Captain."

From these two leaders guiding them to familiarize themselves with the environment, it was evident that Loki had high expectations for Luke and Ais.

The rotation of Captain and Vice Captain leading the team indicated that they were already considered core members.

What Luke didn't know was that Loki had given strict orders to the top three high-ranking members of the Familia, including Finn.

Until Luke and Ais reached Level 2 and gained unanimous approval from the three of them and became fully acquainted with the dungeon, they must be led by one of the three leaders—Finn, Riveria, or Gareth—into the dungeon.

Even if this delayed the development of Loki Familia, it was crucial to ensure the smooth growth of Luke and Ais, preventing them from meeting an untimely end in the dungeon.

On the way to the dungeon, just like Finn, Riveria also gave them a brief self-introduction.

Unlike Finn, Riveria is a mage, and she is even referred to as the "Strongest Mage in Orario."

With emerald-green long hair, a beautiful face, and a serious and cold demeanor towards outsiders, Riveria can be considered one of the most famous "Ice Beauty" in Orario.

However, those who are familiar with her know that Riveria is not actually cold; it's just a misunderstanding caused by her identity as an elf royal and her naturally somewhat serious personality.

Contrary to her appearance, she actually dislikes, or one could even say, hates when others show her a respectful attitude.
