After that within the next two years, sister Veronica came to see John four or five times. Everytime he begged her to take him with her. But after two years something happened. One time when she came to see him. He acted differently. He didn't talk to her much. He didn't even ask one time to take him with her.
Sister Veronica felt something strange about it. Then she realized that he finally understood that she can't take him with her. Ever since then whenever sister Veronica came to see him he acted like talking to a stranger. He stopped calling her mom.
But the last time she came to the church to see him was to take him with her. Her mother died some years ago and her father died last year. They were the only thing holding her back from quitting. She was going to give up being a nun and adopt John as her son.
