The rush of adrenaline that serenades my whole body on seeing 99.99% on the result almost sends me spiraling backward.
I blink back at the paper, just to make sure my eyes are seeing correctly.
"It's positive? Sammy is really my son?"
"Congratulations ma'am," the nurse says to me with a wide smile, "Seems like you're really excited about the news."
Her voice jolts me back to reality and I realize that this is actually happening.
I knock as soon as I get in front of George's front door. I can't wait to hold Sammy in my arms and tell him that his dream of me being his actual mommy is now a reality.
The voices I hear from inside make me pause on knocking for the second time. My frown deepens as I place my ear on the door, only to realize that one of the voices belongs to Natasha, and she is sobbing and screaming all at once.
What could be happening? I wonder. Should I knock or not?
