Chapter 28 - Pharmaceutical Company

'Pharmaceutical Company?' The executives repeated Yu Sheng words in their minds. For the past hundred years this company was always an auto company so they were quite unwilling to give up on what they have been doing for decades and they know their founder probably wouldn't like this too.

"Sir, may I ask a question?" The same man who stood up to state the rules asked.

Yu Sheng looked at the man and nodded knowing well that the executives wouldn't change their minds easily.

"State your name as well. It's kinda weird addressing you all by pointing my fingers."

The man paused for a second, not expecting Xu Wantian, the guy known for being an arrogant and unruly guy who looks down on everyone because he's from the Xu Clan to ask for his name.

"My name is Liao Chen sir." Gathering his thoughts together he replied.

"My question is how will you change the company to a Pharmaceutical Company? We have no one who works around drugs at the company and hiring one is very expensive. At least costing about a hundred thousand BDC per hour of their service." Liao Chen uttered with a slight disbelieving tone in his voice. He felt like Xu Wantian has become too confident after gaining some strength.

"Not only that, but if we were to suddenly switch to a different style of work what will happen to the employees? They are mostly engineers, mechanics and technicians. You know, the ones that work on cars...."

When Liao Chen finished speaking the other executives voiced their own concerns.

"Executive Chen is right. This could become a serious problem if we were to switch."

"Will the employees even be motivated to work?"

"Exactly, we have already lower their weekly and monthly wages by quite a lot to delay our upcoming bankruptcy. If we were to make a mistake now they might just stare striking..."

"They have a point you know." Xu Lengyu spoke up. When he heard Yu Sheng idea he could hardly hold in his laughter. "This is quite an immature plan Xu Wantian, maybe its best that you—"

Xu Lengyu turn to Yu Sheng wanting to bring down is overflowing confidence by telling him to give up, but when he looked at him he saw that he was smiling brightly.

"You guys didn't let me finish." Yu Sheng spoke up causing everyone to quiet down.

"When I said turn this company into a pharmaceutical company I did not mean fully becoming one." Yu Sheng said, confusing everyone.

"We will still be selling vehicles of course, but to make things interesting we will be using pills to promote the company."

"Pills?" The executives became even more confused. Especially Xu Lengyu who was far more confused.

"When you say pills you mean what those Alchemist from the Ling Clan make? As in pills for cultivation?" Xu Lengyu asked with a doubtful look.

The Ling Clan, one of the eight Great Clans is the only clan responsible for making pills for cultivation or any other needs necessary.

From the scripture they found from the Elf Race there were two parts. One was the manual for cultivation and the other was a manual for alchemy.

The Ling Clan of that time, which were the best doctors back then known to man took this manual. They spent thousands of resources and decades of research trying to decipher the manual and in the end they succeeded.

With the Ling Clan help the human race grew at a rapid rate. Especially the eight great clans. With the help of their pills the human race were able to do things they thought were impossible such as curing cancer and even increasing the speed of a human body growth. This helped in healing and increasing cultivation.

However, the Ling Clan after tens of thousand years couldn't decipher one part of the manual. The last part that to this point was still unknown to them.

In the end they cooperated with the Witch Race of that time to help them gain a better understanding. In the end the Witch Race did manage to decipher the last parts of the manual.

But instead of sharing it with the Human Race, they grew afraid. Afraid that the Human Race would take their positions of the Number One Alchemists in the World.

So they kept this secret to themselves, angering the Human Race. Because of this the Human Race issued a war against the Witch Race.

Unfortunately, the world wouldn't allow such a thing to happen since the Witch Race are very prestigious and respected people even to this day because of their special abilities to make anything they create come out as 'perfect.'

So the world allied with the Witch Race against the Human Race.

You would think things would end there, but back then the human race were prideful and hot-blooded individuals. They refused to accept a lost. In the end the war still happened and the human race lost horribly. Nevertheless, they were able to cause serious damage to the other Domains with their technology and new strength from cultivation.

So even though they lost and many were sacrificed no one exactly won that war since everyone suffered.

This all happened way before the Ancient Era and because of this event the Human Race will always hate the Witch Race.

"For cultivation? Nah, but when you say pills for alchemist then yes that's what I mean." Yu Sheng shook his head and answered.

"You are crazy..." Xu Lengyu muttered.

"Can you repeat that?"

Sighing, Xu Lengyu looked at Yu Sheng as if he was a lost cause. "Do you even know one thing about Alchemy you moron? You aren't even a cultivator you bastard..." He cursed, breaking character. He stare down on Yu Sheng smiling fool with regret in his eyes.

"Why did I even let my subordinate follow you..."

Yu Sheng hearing this nodded his head. Coming to an understanding he said, "Oh so it was you who sent that guy to follow me. Let me guess he's still following me isn't he?"

"You—" Xu Lengyu stare at Yu Sheng in shock.

"Anyways." Cutting him off, Yu Sheng turn his attention back to the executives.

"Tell me, what is the most popular pill amongst mortal humans?"

The executives looked at one another as if asking each other the same question. As mortals, whats the point in spending time looking at pills when it hardly benefits them? Was what they were thinking.

"I know!" As they were trying to figure out what to say Zou Xiaolian jumped out of her seat with a excited expression.

"The Beauty Pill! A pill known to make mortals age slowly, making them look young forever!" She shouted.

"Is that so? How much does one cost?" Yu Sheng hearing this eyes lit up.

"They do not have an exact cost since they are usually only sold in auctions. But since you ask, they usually wager in auctions for about 30 Million BDC to up to 500 Million." Zou Xiaolian replied.

"Perfect!" Yu Sheng responded. He rose from his seat and said, "It's settled. We will be making this Beauty Pill."

"....WHAT!" The people in the meeting were quiet for a while, processing what they just heard. When their minds finally process the thought they shouted in union.

"Sir, this is just.... unbelievable! No one except the Ling Clan and the disciples of the Divine Pill Sect can make beauty pills efficient enough so that it can make mortals look young forever!"

A executive that was silent all this time stood up and shouted his concerns.

"Are you questioning me. Someone from the Xu Clan?" Yu Sheng gave the man a glare causing him to gulp, regretting his decision.

"Sir, he has a point though." Zou Xiaolian supported the man by saying, "As someone from the Zou Clan we know that only people from the Ling Clan and the Divine Pill Sect can become Alchemist."

"They won't allow outsiders to become one in case it breaks the balance." She stated.

A shocked expression came up on Yu Sheng face when he heard this. Letting Zou Xiaolian think he understood what she said.

"I wonder..." But that wasn't the reason he was shocked.

"What is someone from the Great Zou Clan working for the Xu Clan doing here?" Yu Sheng asked, startling Zou Xiaolian.

"I—"

"She is right." Butting in, Xu Lengyu said. "The Xu Clan wouldn't bother saving you if the Ling Clan or The Divine Pill Sect found out that you are an illegal alchemist."

"Then again. I refuse to believe your actually an Alchemist."

'Secrets I see.' Noticing how Xu Lengyu changed the subject, Yu Sheng put on a knowing smile and answered.

"What makes you think after today the Xu Clan will continue ignoring me?" Yu Sheng questioned with a sly smile.

"Stop overestimating yourself. Why would the Xu Clan concern themselves with trash like you?" Xu Lengyu sneered while folding his arms together.

"Hah! Funny. Isn't someone of great importance from the Xu Clan standing right next to me?" Yu Sheng couldn't help but laugh at Xu Lengyu words. Finding them hilarious he continued.

"It makes me wonder if the main branch finds it interesting in looking down at trash. Tell me do you eat garbage for breakfast?" Yu Sheng continued laughing.

"Bastard..." Xu Lengyu muttered, cursing once more. He found that talking to Xu Wantian was a very stressful thing.

Seeing Xu Lengyu being unable to respond Yu Sheng chuckled before putting on an indifferent expression.

"Since you guys don't believe me I will show you." Yu Sheng entire attitude changed. His indifference causing the Endless Dao to surge around him. Enveloping the entire room.

"This aura...!" Xu Lengyu who was most familiar with the Endless Dao became shocked. He immediately recognized that this was the Dao of Indifference that no one in the history of the human race has ever manage to cultivate.

Yu Sheng reached out for a bag he had all this time. Before coming to the meeting he made sure to buy a few things with the money he had.

One was a pill furnace and the others were a bunch of ingredients that were quite expensive and hard to find.

With indifference in his eyes Yu Sheng began putting the ingredients inside the furnace.
