Musical notes move about Zou Xiaolian body. In an excited manner, the endless notes spread over every corner, expelling all the endless energy that resides on her.
Note of Deception
At the sound of her voice, the surroundings became distorted. The world around her soon split in two causing images similar to that of an optical illusion to appear around her.
Next the space around her twist and turn becoming a spiral illusion. The illusion spread outside her range seemly trying to devour everything around her.
Lastly her body began splitting in two, then four, then eight, sixteen, thirty two.... Her body split until it reached over a hundred.
Xu Lengyu witnessing all this began clenching his fist. The aura around him became out of hand as rage fill his eyes. His previous calm facade vanishing as only anger and hatred took full control.
"This time I will make sure you die without a corpse to show!" With a shout Xu Lengyu push his feet forward, sprinting towards Zou Xiaolian at full speed.
He summoned another dagger that gave off the feeling of being another grade 6 weapon and lunged both of them at Zou Xiaolian.
The attack landed, causing her body to twist and turn before vanishing, revealing that it was just an illusion.
"How do you plan to kill all of us?"
"How do you plan to kill all of us?"
"How do you plan to kill all of us?"
Hidden away from Xu Lengyu sight, one of the Zou Xiaolian said and the others mimic her speech.
With eyes filled with nothing but endless rage Xu Lengyu ignored the voices and continue attacking, each time he attack one of the Zou Xiaolian dies.
"It's hopeless." One of the Zou Xiaolian said and moments later a dagger pierce through her head. Xu Lengyu appear before that Zou Xiaolian, but it was once again an illusion.
"AUGHH!"
Xu Lengyu soon became dizzy, he held his head in pain as a splitting headache cause him to howl like an mad animal.
His eyes then began spinning in circles making it hard for him to tell where was left or right, up and down. It was unknown whether this was caused by the dizziness and headache or Zou Xiaolian illusions.
Minutes later he fell to floor completely exhausted.
"It was pointless to resist." Zou Xiaolian declared as one by one her images disappear until only one remain.
"Unless you have the Truth Eyes from the Phoenix Race or the Central Domain mental resistance you cannot break through my illusions."
Zou Xiaolian disclosed with a snap of her fingers making all the illusions disappear. Seconds later, the world vanished and they appear in a white space.
"I may not be a Domain Ruler, but...." She elegantly walked up to Xu Lengyu and held his face up with one hand to meet her eyes.
"As long as you get trapped in my illusions you essentially enter my domain." She finished as her eyes began spinning.
Absolute Hypnosis
As if a spell was planted into his mind Xu Lengyu expression became blank. As if his soul left his body, his neck titled sidesway like he was dead.
Letting him go his body fell limp to the ground. No signs that he was still alive could be seen. He wasn't even breathing.
Zou Xiaolian stared at him with a mocking smile before saying:
"Now its my time to ask. When are you going to start get serious?"
"I am serious!"
Xu Lengyu responded with a push of his leg, titling Zou Xiaolian body backwards. He then grabbed his two daggers and stab then in her neck.
"If you were serious you wouldn't have fallen for my tricks so easily." Zou Xiaolian whose neck was pierced thoroughly replied while staring at Xu Lengyu dead in the eye.
Her figure once more disappear showing that it was one of her other illusions.
"This is getting annoying." Seeing another Zou Xiaolian appear in the distance Xu Lengyu rubbed his head in frustration.
"I hate fights of attrition. Continuing this fight will only bore me." He said while waving his hands in the air as if they were two white flags calling in a forfeit.
"Hm? Weren't you the one who said out loud 'I will make you die without a corpse to show?' Why the change of heart?" With confusion written on her face Zou Xiaolian appear with her real body to test if he truly given up.
And in fact he did. He only stare at her with unwillingness.
"I am exhausted. Besides don't you have some sort of rivalry with one of my siblings. Xu Jingran right? She would go crazy if I were to kill you." Reminding himself of his sibling sent shivers down his spine.
"That scheming bitch is still alive?" At the mention of this Xu Jingran, her expression became extremely cold. She then looked at Xu Lengyu with the will to kill.
"I was planning to let you go, but now that I know she's still alive I will just use you as bait to draw her out!"
With a scream Zou Xiaolian summoned back the Ruan and began playing it at a rapid pace. Soon musical notes spread out of the Ruan as a murderous tune fill the atmosphere.
Her illusions soon started changing, mixing in with the murderous tune. Moments after her illusions began creating an army of animals of different sizes. Large lions, tigers, cheetahs. There were even some ancient creatures in the mix like those of the kunpeng race.
These animals were naturally illusionary, but it was hard to distinguish whether they were real or not.
"Do you expect to defeat me with an army of illusions?" Xu Lengyu smirked at her thinking what she was doing was foolish.
"Why don't you test to see if their really illusions are not." Zou Xiaolian smiled cunningly at him.
"Wait, so their not illusions?" Xu Lengyu questioned while getting ready for a long, boring fight.
"No." She quickly answered..
"Huh? I thought you would respond with a 'why don't you find out' type of answer..." Stunned, he looked at Zou Xiaolian suspiciously.
"Yes." She once more responded quickly.
"The fuck is something wrong with you?"
"No."
"..."
"Oh now I understand."
Xu Lengyu suddenly fell like a light bulb brighten up in his head as he came to a realization.
"This is the side effects of the Note of Emotions right? Note of Deception, meaning that you can only show and say what can trick a persons mind right?" He said with confidence.
"What I am trying to say is that you can only tell lies when being asked a question or else that note of yours will weaken."
"No."
"So I am right." Hearing her response he said while puffing out his chest. "You can't fool us from the Xu Clan."
"Whatever, just die already." Rolling her eyes she commanded the animals to approach him.
They began moving towards Xu Lengyu at full speed with loud roars and cries. Like a stampede of animals they made the earth tremble.
"Sorry, but I am not easy to kill!" Xu Lengyu seeing this followed up with a roar of his own as he raise both hands. Soon a black light filled with endless energy left his hands and strike towards the animals.
Crescent Shadows!
The light landed on the animals dissipating some of them and leaving a large dent in the ground. The light then travel towards Zou Xiaolian, but at the sound of a single string of her ruan it stopped a couple inches next to her before disappearing.
"What....!"
Xu Lengyu shouted in surprise. He didn't expect there was such a huge gap between his endless energy and her endless notes and unfortunately for him the light wasn't strong enough to destroy all the animals. Seeing that their master was unarmed they continue attacking Xu Lengyu.
Soon they arrived beside him and bit down on his body. Xu Lengyu noticing this sneered by moving his hand which created wind blades to blow them away.
However, he soon became shocked. As soon as the wind hit the animals, it felt like it came in contact with a very sturdy surface.
"Their actually real!" Stupefied he screamed in horror as they bit down on his body, flinging him off his feet.
"This is the power of my semi-birth mark." Seeing Xu Lengyu getting eaten alive as he scream in terror Zou Xiaolian stated with a neutral expression."
"Since I was born as a human and not from the yinyue race my boss could only allow me to gain half of their special abilities." Zou Xiaolian said with admiring eyes as she thought of this unknown boss.
"This birth mark of mine that she gifted me can turn illusions into reality matching pretty well with my Note of Deception." Concluding with this she turn her gaze away from Xu Lengyu and stare at the companies building.
She stare for a while before her expression became pale with fright.
"This cannot be!" She shouted as she ran away causing the illusions to fully disappear revealing a bloody Xu Lengyu. His entire body covered in bite marks, deep holes could be seen on him as blood flow out endlessly.
"Dammit, she's just realizing. What a foolish woman." Seeing she leaving in rush towards the companies building Xu Lengyu smiled through the pain.
"I forgot to ask her why she betrayed the Zou Clan." Rubbing his head Xu Lengyu got up and stretched his body. His wounds already starting to heal up and close while the bite marks on his skin already vanished as if they were never there.
He stared at Zou Xiaolian disappearing back and sighed while saying:
"I could have drawn this fight out longer, but what's the point in doing that? Besides..." Licking his own blood his eyes lit up in excitement as his body tremble as if in immense pleasure.
"When was the last time I felt such pain?"
