Splash!
"That's cold!" Sebastian blurted out.
Looking at his surroundings, Sebastian was in a dark room and saw a skull sigil with raven wings protruding from the sides. This sigil was the Dark Guild's symbol and signified their bad intention.
"Welcome to our base of operations! This is where all the members gather and accept secret missions." The man spoke.
"The Dark Guild's base of operations? Doesn't look like much." Sebastian said, unimpressed.
"Ha! The Dark Guild's base of operations is a separate dimension from the real world. The founder of the Dark Guild was a wielder of shadow magic and dimensional magic."
Sitting up, Sebastian walked around the room and inspected the wall but it then suddenly disappeared. Behind the wall, it revealed a large settlement of buildings and people. One thing he noticed was how lively the place was.
"This city… is oddly peaceful… What's your name?" Sebastian asked.
"My name is Bastian and I'm the second in command of the Dark Guild." Bastian replied, honestly.
Bang!
Bastian was launched away and slammed into the room's wall. Sebastian's eyes were widened in shock as he actually hit Bastian.
"Blurgh!"
Bastian then coughed up a mouthful of blood and fell to his knees. His eyes widened in shock by Sebastian's audacity to attack, especially after he revealed his strength to him.
"Why didn't you dodge? Aren't you supposed to be strong?" Sebastian asked.
"Why did you even hit me?!" Bastian shouted.
"Your presence felt weakened and I let my intrusive thoughts take over since you abducted me."
"My power is a bit complicated but I am the strongest here." Bastian explained.
Swoosh!
A mysterious figure appeared and kneeled onto the ground. Sebastian immediately recognized this person to be his master from before. It also surprised him that he saw him kneeling toward Bastian.
"At ease, Jake." Bastian said.
"I heard you brought my apprentice here." Jake said.
"Yes, and it seems like he has no manners at all as his first thought was to attack me!"
"You abducted me and brought me here without my consent! Talk about your manners!" Sebastian shrugged.
Jake walked toward Bastian and placed his palm on his shoulder. Soon a bright green light lit up the room and blinded Sebastian. Once it was gone, Bastian stood up and stretched his arms before appearing in front of Sebastian and glaring at him.
"Don't think about doing that again." Bastian said before walking away.
Bastian then walked toward a wall and pushed a few bricks. Soon a portal opened up and a strange wave of energy entered Sebastian's body and caused him to fall on one knee. A very tall man walked through the portal and looked at Sebastian.
Sebastian himself inspected the man and noticed he had multiple scars on his body except his back. His back was clear of all scars and only had the Dark Guild's symbol on it. A sense of admiration overcame Sebastian as he knew this man wasn't one to run away from a fight.
The man's height alone surprised Sebastian as he stood at an astounding twenty-one feet tall. His hair was scruffy and his beard was majestic as a lion's mane.
"This is the Dark Guildmaster, Ragnar. Oh, is his presence too strong for you to handle?" Bastian asked, grinning.
"Is this the boy you spoke of? He seems weak and lacks potential."
"Weak? I'm the strongest of everyone my ag-"
"Don't care. All that matters is if you'll be of use to the guild."
Ragnar had a stoic facial expression and his presence alone made Sebastian feel like he was an inferior being. The most surprising part of Ragnar for Sebastian was the fact that he was only human.
"Don't be too hard on the kid. If we train him, he'll turn into a wonderful assassin! Just think, he has no mana which means he'll be hard to detect and harder to find." Bastian spoke in a convincing tone.
"Hmmm… Implant the heart into him and give him the founder's blood. If he can survive that then he can join and you can teach him our most secret techniques."
"Are you crazy?! Everyone except you died taking the founder's blood!" Bastian spoke with concern.
"Are you questioning my decision?" Ragnar asked, angered.
The whole dimension began to tremor as Ragnar began to channel his power.
"At least wait until he reaches D-Ranked or C-Ranked, otherwise he'll die on the spot."
"Hmmm… True, he's too low of a rank for his body to accept the new power. Fine, teach him our techniques."
Staring at Sebastian, Ragnar put his hand on Sebastian's head and threw him outside. A dumbfounded expression appeared on Sebastian's face as he had yet comprehend what happened.
Bang!
Sebastian through the air until he slammed into a wall and fell to the ground. Every bone in his body felt broken from the impact and a warm liquid entered his mouth.
Argh!
Jake then appeared beside Sebastian and kneeled by his side before administering aid to his body while shaking his head.
"What's his problem?!" Sebastian asked angered.
"He always acts like that. He used to be a kind man before joining the Dark Guild but something made him snap." Jake replied.
Staring at his surroundings, Sebastian noticed a black veil was descending around them. He then looked at Jake for an answer but he only stared in one direction.
"Master Bastian will be teach you" Jake said.
"Bastian? Why can't you te-"
Bang!
"Ack!"
A punch sent Sebastian rolling across the ground until he slammed into the black veil. He immediately recovered and shouted at his attacker.
"That f*cking hurt!"
Angered, Sebastian released his killing intent toward his attacker, Bastian, and focused it around his body. Bastian himself grinned and released his own killing intent on Sebastian.
Sebastian then froze still and watched as Bastian slowly approached him. Fear gripped his heart as he thought Bastian was gonna harm him for his previous attack.
"This isn't meant to be a fight. This is meant to be a training session before I assign you a mission."
Bastian suddenly disappeared and reappeared above Sebastian, his fist inches away from hitting him.
…
"What do you mean he is missing?! Jack is gonna be pissed, if he learns about Sebastian missing!"
"Oscar, Yankee and Zulu are looking for him at this moment."
"Damn it!" Seraph shouted, slamming her fist into her desk. "Find him! Or I'll remove you from your position and exile you!"
"Yes, ma'am!" Alpha responded.
Walking outside the tent, over a hundred hounds were kneeled down and awaiting their orders.
"Listen to me, my brothers and sisters in arms! A hound cub is missing and we need to find him! Go to each slave camp and eliminate them!"
"YES, SIR!" All of the hounds shouted and dispersed immediately.
"The Bell of Slaughter… I heard rumors about its power from the past…" Alpha murmured quietly while staring at a chained up bell.
…
"This fighting style is called 'Flawless Strikes'. This fighting style is hard to master but it's extremely destructive once mastered… Flawless: Kick"
Bang!
A massive wave of energy was released from Bastian's kick and flew through the air until it hit the veil and nearly shattered it. Sebastian's mouth dropped in awe of Bastian's display of power. He knew the veil was strong enough to hold a S-Ranked individual and Bastian's attack showed he was strong.
"The Flawless fighting style is a weaker version of another fighting style that's nearly impossible to master. Another technique to master is 'Blitzkrieg' for its quickness and medium destructibility."
A shadow figure popped out of the ground and it began to run toward Bastian.
Stab! Stab! Stab!
The shadow figure stopped in its tracks and had three huge holes in its body. Another shadow figure appeared and Bastian repeated his technique.
"Since you have auras, try to create attacks or weapons from them while training. I gotta go complete a mission so train hard."
Before Sebastian could say anything, Bastian disappeared and left. He then stared at the shadow figures and grinned
…
"Are you sure it's a good idea for Bastian to train that kid?" A man in the dark spoke.
"Since when did you start questioning my decision? You rarely express concern but it seems like something is annoying you." Ragnar responded.
"It's just a big coincidence that's all. Bastian joins the Dark Guild out of nowhere and immediately went somewhere to recruit a random nobody."
"I'll keep your concern in mind but we better prepare for battle."
Ragnar walked through a set of doors and Bastian could be seen wearing a dark and crimson set of armor. Multiple people were kneeled down and stared at Ragnar, awaiting his orders to move out.
"Listen up my boys! We'll strike the dragon when it's sleeping and take its treasure!" Ragnar's voice resounded throughout the hall.
"Yes, liege!"
Ragnar continued to walk forward until stood in front of a massive gate. The gate then opened and revealed a portal to a hidden cave.
They all walked through the portal and arrived in a cave full of a few awakened dragons. It was then that he noticed a few dragons were staring at them, like they knew they were coming.
"It seems like the dragon was expecting us… As expected of an elder dragon and a being closer to magic." Ragnar spoke.
Equipping his weapon, Ragnar's loud footsteps resounded throughout the cave and everyone behind him was ready to fight.
"I was expecting you… Ragnar!" A massive elder dragon shouted while descending from the sky.
"I've come to slay and take your heart, dragon. Surrender and you'll have a peaceful death."
"Ha! Don't make me laugh!"
"Last chance."
"Attack my fellow brethren!"
All the dragons in the cave woke up and roared into the sky, acknowledging the elder dragon's command and intent to kill Ragnar. Soon hundreds of dragon flew toward Ragnar and some of them even charge their breath.
"You even got your brethren involved." Ragnar shook his head.
Ragnar threw his fist through the air and stopped. The air began to vibrate and suddenly seemed to start cracking. It wasn't long until the elder dragon immediately knew what was happening.
"Vibration magic: World Ending!" Ragnar shouted.
The cracks in the air became larger and larger until the cave started shaking violently. The surrounding dragons felt a strange wave of energy strike them and blood started to seep outside their scales.
Blast!
