The ambush of the messenger!
The enemy soldiers was now diverted into the two groups , unwittingly they were approaching the direction of the collapsed structure. While Mark's team went back , the captain ordered his rest of the man to search the area carefully .
Looking at the retreating figures of mark , the captian began to feel uneasy.
"That's strange..... why am I feeling uneasy about this mission?"
It took fifteen minutes for the enemy team to reach the location where the house was collapsed.
As Mark and his squad cautiously approached the source of the loud noise, Jake Crawford concealed himself in the shadows, his heart pounding with a mix of anxiety and anticipation.
The collapsed building, now a pile of rubble, became the stage for Jake's audacious plan. Amid the debris, Mark and his men cautiously advanced in slow pace , their rifles were ready to shoot at any time. The dust hung in the air, creating an eerie atmosphere. Jake observed their movements, biding his time for the perfect moment to strike.
Jake Crawford was now concealing himself not far away from them , he hid inside a third floored house and observed the enemies from the window. After looking carefully, Jake breathed out in relief
"Only six people came ?.... thats make my job easier!"
Thinking to himself, he saw that they were observing the collapsed house and talking to themselves.
Jake finally noticed a long rifle across in one of the men who was crouching on the ground.
"Hmm..... A sniper?"
Jake Crawford face changed slightly! He knew how fearsome a sniper can be and with the situation, he has to be very careful now .
He has to acquire the gun and eliminate the sniper as soon as he can or else once the sniper his alerted then it would be a hide and seek game !
A game where time is crucial and if that happens then Jake Crawford would fail the mission automatically.
Finding a hidden sniper is lot of time consuming ....
"Let's make it quick and easy..."

Mark crouched down on the ground and looked at the pile of rubbles, frowning he observed for a moment before he noticed a long rope streching from the rubble to the far distance.
He followed the other end of the rope and noticed shaded foot prints on the mud ground.
Smiling coldly , Mark looked at the surrounding and said to his men
"It seems someone has intentionally lured us here !"
Hearing this , one of the men asked in caution
"Then doesn't it mean we are all in a trap now ?"
They are from military so they already guessed when they heard Mark's word.
Mark nodded his head and said in cold voice
"It seems the person who lured us here is the one who we are pursuing.... Ah does he think the roles is reserved now ? How foolish!"
According to their Intel , their mission was to pursue a messenger from theirs enemy side and stop him from bringing reinforcement to the battlefield. They have to kill the messenger before he could reach the north camp so that's why their commander has assigned fifteen elite squad to hunt the enemy messenger.
This mission has no tolerance to failure.
Thinking about this , Mark ordered his team seriously
"Either this messenger is going to ambush us or he just wants to distract us and sneak past us .....if it's the later then he is either foolish or have extreme confidence in his skills ...but if it turns out to be the second option then ...."
Narrowing his eyes , mark spoke coldly
"....then we have to find him at any cost ! Remember he is one man all alone without support so we have advantage in numbers but we also don't want him to bypass us and move somewhere else ..."
The five soldiers understood Mark's meaning.
They also don't want to take a risk of him escaping from this place , so they have to find him but traveling in group will take lot of time hence mark came up with a method
"So let's divide and find him ..... remember don't engage yet ! Report to me first then we will surround him before taking actions!"
"Yes !"
Everyone nodded their head and began to head in different directions .
This decision taken by Mark may be useful in other times but this time it was a grave mistake. They were thinking that he a sheep soon to be butchered but as time passed they would be filled with regrets.

Jake Crawford was waiting patiently , he was looking through the window and saw that the enemy soldiers were walking in different directions.
"First step is completed now for second step ...."
Muttering softly , he began to observe the direction the soldiers took and when he was about to see where the sniper headed to , he suddenly saw a enemy soldier was coming staring to his location.
Smiling coldly, Jake Crawford said
".....will begin now !"
He immediately left his hiding place and began to start his second plan . He has to lure this person deeper into the building and kill him without making any sound .
Glancing at the abandoned appartment , Charles hesitated to enter inside , he didn't think the enemy messenger would be hiding there so he thought of looking somewhere else but suddenly he heard a running sound inside the appartment.
Jake initiated a series of minor disturbances—soft tapping and subtle movements—to draw the enemy soldier deeper into the building.
"Someone's inside ?"
Charles was alarmed and immediately headed inside the appartment by knocking the main door , he entered the hall . There was no one inside the hall, Charles knew that he definitely heard the footsteps three seconds ago so that means the messenger must be hiding in the building.
He unlocked the safety of his rifle and began to take a shooting postions while slowly began to walk forward .
Charles thought of informing to mark at first but thinking for a moment, he decided to verify first whether it's messenger or someone else . Then he would infrom mark if he truly found the messenger.
Slowly he moved to the ground floor and began to explore while trying his best to be careful and avoid making noises.
