The fatality!
The dust hung in the air as the echoes of the collapsing building reverberated through the war-torn landscape. Jake Crawford, still recovering from the shockwave, emerged from his cover cautiously, assessing the aftermath of his strategic assault.
The once-standing structure now lay in ruins, debris and dust clouding the alley. As Jake surveyed the destruction, the realization of his successful counterattack against the two enemy soldiers filled him with a mix of relief and satisfaction.
"Damn, that was too close. I need to be more careful,"
Jake muttered to himself, his senses heightened by the recent encounter. The warzone demanded constant vigilance, and every decision weighed heavily on the delicate balance between survival and the imminent dangers that lurked.
Checking his surroundings, Jake moved forward, navigating through the debris but as just as he took a step forward , a thick bulet graced his ear and hit the ground.
"S#it"
Jake Crawford took cover to a nearby wall , his breathing was uneven .
"That shot mut be fired by the sniper ...."
One second he almost thought he was dead , that's how scary the sniper was. Jake wanted to see loot the two dead soldier but who knew that the sniper was waiting for him to reveal from his hiding place .
Jake Crawford didn't dare to move recklessly now . He felt like if he ever took a step away from this place then the next bullet will definitely take his life .
"Goddamm it !"
Now jake Crawford was in a complex situation. He has to kill the Sniper then only he can move forward but if he move a inch now , then his life would be over.
He began to think of ideas to escape his sudden crisis.
....
Mark was currently focused all of his concentration on the wall where Jake was hiding . His hands were closed on the trigger , read it pull it at any second.
His emotions were out of control now . He truly hated the enemy messenger to his death , he just want to kill him then only his furious heart would calm down .
He brought five men with him and now only he remained alive while the rest of them were killed by the enemy . If he didn't kill the enemy messenger then everything will be over , even his death wouldn't calm down the captain anger.
"You have no chance to run now ! You can go to hell now !"
He focused on the wall and fired a shot where Jake was hiding , it produced a dull sound but the bullet didn't penetrate the thick wall .
Mark was feeling regretfully of not having Armor piercing bullets or else it would have been a piece of cake to kill the enemy messenger.
"He's trapped. No way out"
Mark muttered to himself, his eyes narrowing through the scope. The anticipation of delivering the fatal blow consumed him, masking the looming consequences of failure.
His impatience mingled with the burning desire for vengeance, fueling each precise shot he fired. He once again shot at the wall , trying to scare Jake Crawford.
...
"If I stay here, he'll pick me off. I need to find a way to close the distance"
Jake thought, his eyes scanning the surroundings for potential escape routes. He already began to think for a plan and in no time he found a plan to escape from the sudden crisis.
"He already shot three times now ....so he must have left with two or three bullets and after that he has to reload...."
Reloading takes times and that will be the time he would take actions. He already knew the sniper location so he just has move closer and kill him without wasting time .
He took out his green helmet and placed it across the gun handle . After that he carefully moved the gun at the other side of the wall , mimicking it like he was just taking a peeking .
Just as the gree helmet came out of the wall cover , a bullet pierced the helmet and damaging the assualt rifel in the process but Jake didn't care about it since he has another rifle now .
Throwing the rifle aside , he jumped from another side and began to run.
Timing his movements with the sniper's reloading rhythm, Jake seized a fleeting moment of respite and sprinted toward a fallen concrete slab. The sniper, momentarily preoccupied, failed to capitalize on the opportunity.
Mark, frustrated by the messenger's evasive actions, growled in annoyance. "Move all you want. You can't escape."
The cat-and-mouse chase intensified as Jake darted from cover to cover, the sniper's shots following him like an unforgiving shadow. The warzone's symphony of gunfire and destruction enveloped the battlefield, amplifying the stakes of this lethal pursuit.
"Where are you, you f#cking bastard?"
Mark cursed while trying to track Jake's movements. His grip on the sniper rifle tightened, determination fueled by the desire to avenge his fallen comrades. In a daring move, Jake made a dash for an overturned vehicle, hoping to gain a momentary shield against the relentless barrage. The bullets pummeled the surroundings, sending shards of debris into the air.
Mark, seizing the opportunity, adjusted his aim for a precise shot. However, Jake anticipated the sniper's intentions and abruptly changed direction, diving behind the vehicle just in time to evade the lethal bullet. The standoff reached a critical juncture as Jake, now closer to the sniper's position, assessed the remaining cover. With the explosive tactics skill freshly unlocked, he pondered a risky but potentially game-changing move.
"I need to end this. No more running,"
Jake muttered, the urgency of the situation pushing him toward a bold decision.
As Mark prepared for another shot, Jake utilized a grenade from his inventory. In a swift motion, he rolled the explosive device toward the sniper's perch, the pin pulled with precision. The grenade sailed through the air, landing dangerously close to Mark's position.
"S#it "
The subsequent explosion rocked the rooftop, sending debris and dust scattering. Mark, caught off guard, struggled to maintain his balance, his ears ringing from the concussive blast.
Seizing the opportunity, Jake charged toward the rooftop, determined to confront the sniper head-on. The warzone echoed with the chaos of their clash, gunfire and explosions merging into a symphony of battle.
Snipers are very dangerous in long distance but when enemies comes close engage them snipers are just a sitting duck .
