' Interesting, out of the two hundred students, only nine managed to see my baby's movements ' Adrwnr thought, looking at the unconscious students. "Tsc."
' My baby's spear had no mass for a null-damage attack... but they all faint from shock' Adrwnr sighed disappointedly. ' What were their parents doing not teaching them to use their eyes? The first test could also expel students '
"He seems quite irritated," Litty remarked, surprised by everything happening. 'Humans are more violent than I remembered... although...' The memory of Edward beating someone flashed in her mind, making her look terrified. 'Now it makes sense; they are all demons in disguise.'
"Of course, he is. Who wouldn't be, seeing such useless people in front of them?" Edward spoke, and even though it didn't seem directed at her, Litty felt as if a sword had pierced her chest.
"Now that we've eliminated the trash, I will explain how the potential test will proceed," Adwrn said, beginning to walk with his right hand raised. "Firstly, you should know that this is something exclusive to this academy. So, don't go boasting about having a high value in the outside world. It will only be used to finish your career as a mage or knight once when you graduate. After that, if you keep acting all high and mighty, you might become the subject of ridicule, as our academy is not the only one filled with geniuses."
After Adwrn said this, the conversation began, and many students now showed a disheartened face.
"So, it's true? How boring..."
"It should be for another academy... If it doesn't have significance, why should I almost risk dying here?"
"So, the tests are pointless. What a stupid thing."
"They just enjoy seeing the students suffer."
"The idiots are you all," a white-haired boy with red eyes spoke in a monotone voice. "Unlike other academies, after graduating here, you can even become a personal knight for one of the princesses or even the king himself."
"I didn't expect to hear something decent here," a white-haired girl with various irregular blue streaks in her hair smiled while looking at the boy.
"What nonsense are you all talking about? Do you really believe that? It's all a ploy from neighboring kingdoms to weaken ours, injuring the future of the nation," the same boy from before spoke, adjusting her glasses, now with new lenses, but a red mark could still be seen between her eyes.
Surprising everyone, someone kicked the boy's head, breaking his glasses again along with his nose, smashing his face into the ground. "Shut up, my brother graduated from here last year, and now he is the personal mage of the king's third son."
"Huh???? Impossible! If that were true, we would know who you are."
"Exactly. My family lives in a village with less than a hundred people, and yet my brother became an imperial mage. So, what will you say now? Bunch of cowards. He warned that there is always this," the pink-haired girl with a small rebellious strand forming an ahoge spoke.
"I think we found him," Litty said, looking at the boy who now caught everyone's attention, while the two beautiful girls stood on either side of him.
"Hmmm, I really was a complete idiot... so that's why I continued reading this?" Edward spoke with almost lifeless eyes.
"Honestly, I don't think much has changed, just seeing your current reaction... maybe it's envy?" Litty provocatively spoke. Edward, without saying anything, brought two fingers to her head, lightly pressing without exerting any force.
"You're imagining things, just that I found out it ended up hurting my pride... but I can't complain; I'm just a simple teenager going through puberty," Edward spoke, moving his fingers up and down, rubbing Litty's face.
"If that's the case, can you please stop?" Litty spoke while thinking, 'This way, will he be able to endure pretending to be an extra?'
While Edward and Litty conversed, they hadn't noticed that the entire hall was now frozen, everyone looking directly at the professor Adwrn.
"It's good that you've stopped the commotion. I don't mind if you talk among yourselves, but it hinders me, and that's something you shouldn't do. Do you understand? And one more thing, the young lady there who just spoke actually reminded me of your brother. He was very good in my class, but unfortunately, he ended up turning into a magical combatant... so if you have the same gift, be smarter than he was, okay? If you had become my disciple, you'd be standing by the king or the princesses by now," Adwrn smiled darkly, making many of the students tremble.
"This place has serious problems..." Litty spoke with a disgusted expression.
Edward quickly looked more closely at the girls and the boy, probably the protagonist, thinking, 'This girl is using her mana incorrectly. The way it's going, focusing on magical combat could kill her... but oh well, it's not my problem. It's better to resolve this quickly, Mr. Protagonist.'
