Chapter 13 - Smell

"Pi number? How is that possible?" Adrwnr spoke, surprised, applauding as he made the black knight return to its black cloth form. "Not only that, but my baby not only copied her appearance entirely but even her mana flow."

Adrwnr jumped from the second floor, landing and grabbing the cloth before it touched the ground. Looking directly at Michael, he said, "You have a lot to tell me, boy."

"Eh? What do you mean by that? What happened here? She pushed me." Before Michel could continue speaking, Adrwnr intervened, placing his hand on his shoulder and saying, "Haven't you realized what you did? Look around you."

"But what are you talking about..." Most students were either kneeling, gasping for breath, or clutching their clothes tightly with wide eyes, cold sweat streaming down their faces. The minority, including Edward and those two girls, as well as other students who had entered the special class, were looking at Michael.

"I did this? Professor Dina did mention that my mana was a rare type, but..." Michael felt Adrwnr's grip tighten as he seemed to sense a thousand eyes staring directly into his soul.

"Boy, won't you want your answers? You should go immediately talk to the headmistress," Adrwnr said, and the iris of his right eye changed shape, becoming like that of a key, as a wooden door appeared from the ground, intricately carved with various plants, and among the plants were human hands ready to harvest them.

"The headmistress? Seriously? But wasn't it impossible to see her?" Michael spoke as Adrwnr pushed him through the door, which disappeared immediately afterward.

"You students from the special class... You are much better than those from other years. Enduring a mana wave like that, and still seven times this year. It will truly be filled with talents. Hahaha, I couldn't be happier," Adrwnr turned toward them, walking towards the stairs.

"What the hell was that? Who was that guy?" the green-haired boy spoke, his eyes seemingly ablaze, and his fists trembling with excitement.

"This guy... Maybe I need to learn more about him," Sillian said with a cold look.

Meanwhile, the commotion started from the students who hadn't taken the potential test yet, and all Adrwnr said as he looked back was, "You're on your knees, and your entire body is shaking... If you still want to take the test in this state, you're very welcome to join the worst class in this academy. Do you want to?" The demonic eyes Adrwnr displayed made the students shake their heads in denial while swallowing hard.

"Anyway, take the chance to get some sleep. Classes will begin tomorrow, and those who haven't taken the test, come to my room tomorrow," Adrwnr arrived on the second floor and disappeared from everyone's sight.

"Well, that's finally over... what a hassle," Edward said, yawning and walking toward the stairs, passing by Sillian, who stopped walking and stood still.

Seeing this, Litty looked at Sillian, who seemed to pinch her nose. "Hey, Edward, did you take a shower today? Because if not, it looks like that bothered Miss Perfect over there."

"Huh?" Edward noticed the shadowed expression on Sillian's face as she stood frozen. "Well, she seems to be one of the heroines, so it's better for me to stay away from her. Heroines always bring trouble if they aren't the problem themselves.."

"Oh, and... seeing it personally now, your life is even more pitiful," Litty said, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, I know, but it's the best for me," Edward said, climbing the stairs and heading to his room.

Meanwhile, in the main hall, Sillian seemed to snap back to reality, escaping the trance she had entered. "Wow, that smell was incredible. It felt like I dove into a river of flowers. How is it possible for someone like that to exist, and I didn't know? I thought Michael had a pleasant scent, but it's nothing compared to this human-shaped garden."

On that night, Edward hadn't realized it, but he had already become the target of Miss Sillian, a girl with unwavering determination who would eventually pursue her personal garden.
