"That's true. That's why I want to be friends with her because it's better to be friends than rivals with each other," Ai Chang said.
"yah its better to be friends ....look we have arrived" He chen announced in the midst of his talking.
Ai Chang thanked his best friend for helping him, even though it was his fault that he was about to be late. "Thanks buddy, I owe you one!"
"anything for you...you go now ...i will come after parking my car" He chen said to Ai chang.
"Come quickly then," said Ai Chang as he exited the car in front of the venue entrance. Then walked towards his parents who were already receiving the guests.
After reaching them he greeted his parents as he hugged both of them "how are you both of you?"
His mom answered to him with an upset tone "why do you care? you don't even come to see us and even if you come, you leave without informing"
"why are you saying like that mom? that day you were busy thats why i left without informing you but i told hua to inform you after you get free...didn't she inform you? and also i came here as soon as possible when you asked hua to tell me to be here within an hour. You tell me how can i not care about you?" Ai chang explained while trying to coaxed his mother not get mad at him.
"she told me but you have to still tell me no matter how busy i am...." Madam Ai said as she looked at her son.
"alright alright...both of you stop talking here....chang help me receive the guests" Master Ai said looking at both the mother-son pair.
"then both of you receive the guests here...i will help hua inside" after saying that madam Ai went inside the venue leaving the father-son pair behind.
on the other side, Inside the Bai family's mansion....master Bai and madam Bai came to the hall room after getting ready for the banquet tonight.
Both of them walked towards the mother and daughter, who were engrossed in their own activities. When they reached them, Madam Bai asked the daughter, "How do we look tonight?"
Bai Lu looked up from her laptop upon hearing a voice. Ai Yun also turned her attention to the source of the voice and ran towards them, hugging their leg as she couldn't reach their height. She then exclaimed, "Grandpa and grandma, you look so handsome and pretty tonight!"
Master Bai chuckled at her compliment and lifted her up, saying "Thank you, princess," before planting a kiss on her cheek.
Bai Lu approached her mother and gave her a warm hug. "Yes, Mom," she said, "you look absolutely gorgeous." She then turned to her father and added, "Dad, you also look very handsome. You two complement each other so well that you'll steal the limelight from the main family of the event tonight" she said.
"Stop with your sweet talk... Now, tell us, are you not going to the banquet? Don't you want to find out if it's him?" Madam Bai asked her daughter with a serious expression.
"I want to find out, but I don't want to leave Yun alone at home. I will stay with her since she can't go to the banquet. You both can find out for me because you now know his name and he is the same age as me," Bai Lu explained to her parents. The reason why she is not attending the event is that she wants to take care of Yun, and also because she is not yet prepared to meet the person she has been searching for years.
The only thing that is running through her mind if its him what should she do or how to reveal it to him that he has a daughter already....and what if he has a girlfriend.
Hearing their daughter's explanation....master Bai said with some anger in his eyes "then we will check out for you....and i will ask him if he remembers you....if he don't then he is dead even he is a of my friend."
"if its him then don't mention me....i will talk to him personally later " Bai lu said.
"We will see that... Now we will leave for the banquet," Master Bai said, putting Ai Yun on the floor.
"mama i also want to go with them" Ai yun suddenly demanded to her mother, seeing her grandparents leaving.
Hearing her daughter....Bai lu ruffled her daughter's hair and explained patiently to her like a good mother "you can't go with them....only adults are invited there.....if you go with them, those people will criticize your grandparents.....do you want that?"
"no....then i won't go with them" Ai yun said while shaking her head in denial.
"good girl" Bai lu praised her daughter.
on the Ai family's side....the father-son pair is still receiving the guests...suddenly Master Ai said to Ai chang "you go inside now....there is only 10 minutes left to before starting banquet....i will come after receiving one important guest"
"ok dad" after saying that Ai chang left .
After 5 minutes the Bai couple arrived infront of the entrance ...seeing master Bai ....master Ai went forward to give a hug "you really came this time...last time i invited you.....you went to abroad...i am glad you made it to my son's banquet atleast"
