"Are you sure you are alright, young master?" The old steward's voice gained Sol's attention.
Seeing Sol in this bloodied condition, the old steward was enraged and prepared to storm into the academy to kill whoever was responsible for harming Sol.
However, Sol seemed absent-minded, looking into thin air and casually gesturing at him to follow. Such behavior is not something someone exhibits when hurt.
The gray-haired werewolf descendant who escorted Sol out simply said this happened during Sol's rite of awakening.
"Of course I'm okay," Sol responded with a rare look of excitement in his eyes.
"The seal. I didn't think it would harm you during the rites, if not I would have never allowed you to take part in something so dangerous." The old steward said with a sorrowful expression.
"Would you have preferred me to remain weak, lying on the bed and waiting for the day the Kahi'k grows impatient and decides to take my life?" Sol asked.
Startled by his question, the old steward was left speechless and unsure how to respond. He looked Sol in the eyes still stained with red blood marks and felt grief in his heart.
Such pain is not something a youth like Sol should endure. He simply didn't want to see Sol suffer.
"The seal seems to react to my Ark bloodline as well. That's why I could feel my heart tightening during the rite." Sol explained. "These old bastards leading the three alpha families did not only seal away my warlock bloodline. They also went ahead to seal my Ark bloodline."
Buzz.
Suddenly the temperature in the carriage began to rise slowly. Seated with his legs crossed, Sol observed the reaction of the old steward, nodding in approval.
"That means each time you use your powers, you will be forced to endure a lot of pain." The old steward said with a pained look.
"The only way we can have them understand the taste of failure is by continuing what I do now regardless of the pain." Sol leaned forward. "The Ark family has made sacrifices just to keep me alive, it's time I make sacrifices to help it regain its good name."
Listening to Sol speak, the old steward felt like tearing up. He didn't know how to respond but he knew Sol was right. For the sake of the Ark family sacrifices are needed if they wish to survive their current predicament.
"I understand." He said with a slight bow.
Understanding the weakness of a man will make manipulating the person effortless. Sol understood that the dream of the old Stewad was to see him fill the shoes of the former patriarch. It was clear this man had looked after a good number of Ark royal family generations. He didn't want to have anyone fail under his watch.
"I have another question. Your friend…" The old steward's voice seemed to trail off at that point.
"You mean Kevin? What about it?" Sol asked.
"I know our current predicament makes it hard to make friends with the other heirs but that doesn't mean you should settle for an omega." The Old steward explained. "His status is too low for him to be considered a friend."
Hearing this Sol chuckled lightly. To see even the old steward talk about this shows how serious bloodlines and hierarchies are in this world.
"What makes him unqualified to be my friend?" Sol asked with narrowed eyes.
Sending the change in Sol's mood even the old steward had to adjust his sitting position and cough a few times before speaking.
"He is an omega. He is at the bottom of his lineage! Such a man is not worthy to breathe the same air as you." The old steward said.
"Chamberlain," Sol called his name. "Any man can become King. So do not look down on anyone or you may end up regretting it."
Buzz.
His words shook the old steward's soul as he pondered on his younger master's words.
"If Kevin wipes out the alpha family, doesn't that elevate him to the status of alpha?" Sol asked with a raised eyebrow but he was met with silence.
The old steward could only lower his head in silence, unsure of how to respond.

As soon as they returned to the Castle, Sol went straight to the training grounds behind the castle while the old Steward followed with a look of concern on his face.
"You should get some rest first or at least get something to eat" The old Steward proposed but Sol simply ignored his words.
Standing in the middle of the field he could see dummies a distance away made of hay but he didn't do anything yet. The easiest way to learn something has always been to learn from someone who has experience in that aspect of life.
"We were told Hak is the release word to unleash your power," Sol said. "But there is more to it, right?" He asked and the old Steward nodded in agreement.
"Hak manifests your power but how you unleash it is entirely left to you." The old steward explained.
He stretched out his open palm and looked at Sol before saying the word.
"Hak."
Before Sol's eyes, fierce flames erupted from the hand, burning fiercely.
"To become a tier one pyromancer, you need to be able to unleash the power first." The old steward said with a stern look on his face.
"Since your potential is low due to the seal, I suggest you start by focusing all that power on just a finger. That is the best and fastest way to achieve results," he explained.
Hearing this Sol nodded in understanding. Instead of focusing all that power on his fist, he can start with a finger. Once he succeeds he should be able to spread that power to other parts of his body.
