Ding.
The sound of a bell rang in Louis' head, causing him to squint in pain while shaking his head painfully. Seeing the young master in pain, the maids scrambled over with ridiculous questions flying around, adding to the pain he felt.
"Young master, are you okay?"
"The young master is in pain, what can we do?"
"Young master, where does it hurt?"
The alluring voices of these women would be pleasing to Louis any other day, but today it was hell.
"Get out, all of you!" Louis ordered in a tone unfitting to his sixteen-year-old body.
The maids were taken aback, and even the old steward was shocked by this. Sol has always been a timid child and has never raised his voice to anyone except today.
The maids were still in shock and yet to move when the stern voice of the old Steward jolted them back to reality.
"You heard the Young master, or do you all plan to disobey a direct order?" He said in a threatening tone.
Hearing this, the faces of the maids turned white, and they all scrambled out of the room fearfully, not daring to waste another second.
Even though Louis' eyes were shut, he could sense the change in the Old steward's presence, but the hostility was not directed at him.
"I will be standing by your door-post, Do not hesitate to call me if you need me." The old steward said in a calm tone before bowing briefly and walking away.
The sound of the door shutting gently reached Louis' ears, and only then did he slowly open his eyes. This time the sun's rays didn't hurt as much, but that didn't matter because he was greeted with a strange scene. It was like a holographic screen, and on it were details he could not make sense of.

Seeing this, Louis was confused at first, but then he remembered everyone including the maids and steward called him Sol. At this moment, he was unsure whether to laugh or cry. When he was told he would atone for his sin, he didn't have anything in mind, he didn't even expect to be reborn.
On the bright side, he was born into the body of a prince, but then again, this prince seems to be a cripple. Also, he wasn't sure what the Immortal blood-scattering seal was, but just judging based on its name, Louis knew it could never be something good.
"Also, it is natural for someone to expect to find himself in the future after getting reborn. So why the hell am I stuck in the fucking past?" Louis complained in a low tone. He feared the steward outside the door would hear him and quickly realize he was not the prince but an imposter in his body.
How did he know he was living in the past? Well, for starters, his room window had no glass. The entire room is just a gathering of bricks, with no design, no marble floor, and nothing unique. Just plain old scenes that reminded him of fantasy medieval movies he watched when he was younger.

A series of bell-ringing sounds assaulted Louis' fragile mind and even worse, more messages appeared into view, causing him to squint his eyes in pain. The only upside to this was the warm energy he felt flowing through his body, rejuvenating his weakened limbs, or at least making them strong enough for him to move them.
"The One? Does it mean God helped me?" Louis was taken aback.
His chat with the almighty was too short for him to have any reasonable impression of God. Considering the way they spoke, Louis considered God to be just like any other man, so he wasn't expecting anything special.
"Thank you, Lord." He muttered a short prayer.
His parents back on earth taught him manners, which he sustained even after becoming a billionaire. Since the Lord helped him, it's only natural he showed appreciation the only way he could by thanking him.
Moving his hands and legs, bone-breaking sounds could be heard as he dragged himself to the edge of the bed and sat up. Placing his legs on the cold brick floor made him frown with a hint of dissatisfaction in his eyes.
How can the heavens reduce a billionaire to this sort of life?
Louis put all that thought aside as he attempted to stand. His legs felt shaky and weak as if it has never been used to walk in ages, making it impossible for him to stand upright.
Fortunately, Louis was an aged soul in the body of a child. Any normal child would have given up right now, but Louis' mental fortitude was leagues above that of a sixteen-year-old.
"Let's take a step forward"
Those were the last words he said before his world came crumbling. Louis was unsure when he started falling, was it while taking the step forward or after taking the step forward?
The sound alerted the old steward, who rushed into the room only to see the young master on the floor. This time it was the turn of the old steward to be shocked.
"How-How did you get down there?" He asked with a trembling tone and tears welling up in his eyes.
"How else? I walked. At least I tried to." Sol responded to the question as if it was the dumbest question he had heard in ages, but the next reaction of the old steward was unexpected.
The old man burst into tears with a bright smile on his face, displaying his wrinkles and rotting teeth as he cried out,
"Lord Yaka has remembered us!"
His words were too confusing for Louis to understand and honestly, Louis didn't really care.
"Yay…" Louis responded in a dispirited tone. "Can you help me get back to my feet now?" he asked.
