Zhang Fan grapples with a blend of doubt and curiosity stirred by Little Tear's cryptic words. He momentarily indulges in a lavish fantasy of prosperity with the sisters but swiftly anchors himself back to reality, contemplating the weight of his burgeoning powers. Resolving not to get ahead of himself, he shakes off these thoughts and retreats to his room.
After the mission's completion, a substantial reward of 500 game points securely lands in his possession. However, Zhang Fan's interest lies not in the points themselves, but in the mission's final prize – the unlocking of the Treasure Store. Already pleasantly surprised by the array of firearms and equipment from "Call of Duty" available in the game store, he wonders what further marvels the newly unlocked Treasure Store holds.
Upon accessing the store, Zhang Fan's initial excitement gives way to a profound disappointment. Contrary to his expectations, the store is filled not with extraordinary artifacts but with common treasures – gold rings, gemstone bracelets, royal necklaces, each priced at a mere game point. To an ordinary person, these items would be invaluable, but to Zhang Fan, engrossed in the supernatural realm of the game, they are mere trinkets.
Despite his urge to vent his frustration, he meticulously examines the inventory, only to stumble upon items that ignite his interest – green and red herbs, along with a first-aid spray, each hailing from "Resident Evil 5." These items, insignificant to the average eye, are life-saving treasures in Zhang Fan's world. The herbs, one for internal use and the other for external application, complement each other perfectly, offering a harmonious blend of healing properties.
Reclining in his bed, Zhang Fan drifts off into a contented slumber, dreaming of more effortless missions like this one.
The following day, the arrogant Shen Gu, also known as the Black Rat, strides into the Cat Eye Café. Spotting Little Ai assisting in the café, he promptly approaches her with a smug look. "Little Ai, our bet – I believe it's time you kept your promise," he declares, referring to a wager they had made.
Little Ai, looking unimpressed, questions his claim of victory. Shen Gu triumphantly produces a newspaper, the headline screaming, "Rat Triumphs, Cat Eye Defeated" in bold, eye-catching letters.
Observing Shen Gu's brazen attitude, Little Ai is on the brink of losing her temper, but Zhang Fan intervenes, casually dismissing the matter as trivial. He then begins to shower Shen Gu with exaggerated praise, highlighting his distinguished appearance and refined demeanor, which Shen Gu seems to accept with a self-satisfied nod.
However, Zhang Fan's tone shifts as he mockingly commends Shen Gu for his panic-stricken escape the previous night, insinuating his cowardice. Caught off guard, Shen Gu fumbles for words but ultimately fails to defend himself.
When presented with incriminating photographs of his actions at the National Art Museum, Shen Gu realizes in horror that Zhang Fan is, in fact, the infamous Cat Eye. His composure crumbles as he comprehends the extent to which he's been outmaneuvered.
In a desperate attempt to turn the tables, Shen Gu confronts Zhang Fan, but his threats hold no weight against the seasoned player. Zhang Fan's response is chillingly sinister, warning Shen Gu of the dire consequences of crossing paths with him, especially given Little Ai's relationship with Zhang Fan.
Overhearing the conversation, Little Ai excitedly jumps in, playfully addressing Zhang Fan as her future brother-in-law and teasingly demanding bribes to speak well of him to her sister. In this tangled web of intrigue and deception, each character plays their part, setting the stage for the next act of their ongoing game.
