Amoura learned from her father that her older sister had given birth to a baby girl. But from the tone of the call, her father seemed unenthusiastic about the birth of the next generation of the Yori family. Instead, he was casual and nonchalant. Instead, he kept asking when they would meet again. Amoura argued that she was busy and didn't want any misunderstanding between her father and mother in case someone saw them together and complained to the notoriously jealous Theana Yori.
"Have you forgotten what mother is like? She'd never let you go with a stranger like me. Especially when she found out that I was the one who got her son-in-law's company to change hands. He must really hate me now," Amoura thought.
