Jessica has not inherited maternal behaviour. You can see it in the way she treats her own baby. She doesn't touch her daughter at all unless she has to, or because Dominic has threatened to divorce her.
After returning home from the hospital, Jessica hired a nurse to look after her baby daughter. This was because she did not want to be involved in childcare. Jessica left all the baby's care to the nurse and was supported by her biological mother.
"Don't you want to breastfeed your baby, Jessie? The poor thing cries all the time. Just nurse her, then it's up to you," Theana said to her daughter, who was busy surfing the virtual world as if she had never been born.
"Why should I pay for a nurse and a mother if you two can't take care of her? Anyway, let's not talk about such unimportant things anymore!" Theana replied, no longer caring about her mood.
"Jessica! Watch what you say! I am your mother. So don't ever equate me with...".
