Chapter 24 - Chapter 24:

Lukas felt odd as he walked through the portal. So much was swirling through his mind after the ordeal in the tower. As he tried to process it all, a flash of movement caught his eye.

He turned and noticed a tall figure standing beside Ama. The woman was looking him up and down in a way that made him feel exposed, like she could see right through him. Out of instinct, he looked her over as well, taking in the details.

The first thing he noticed was her light pink hair peeking out from under her head. Just like Ama's distinctive color, only brighter. Could this be her sister? He took a tentative step closer to get a better look.

That's when he spotted the small red badge on her uniform. A cadet! Lukas thought. She continued assessing him with her gaze.

Not wanting to seem rude, he broke the silence. "Nice to meet you, senior," he said respectfully, hoping his eyes conveyed his question - who are you?

The woman flashed a warm smile, putting him at ease. "Don't need to be so formal, I'm Ama's big sister. You can call me Sister Eira."

So his hunch had been right. Relieved, Lukas introduced himself. "Oh, nice to meet you Sister Eira. I'm Lukas." He decided not to bring up his family name this time for earlier troubles, not wanting to get on this sister's bad side too. Chances are very low, but it wasn't zero.

"Had a hard time in the tower?" she asked knowingly. Lukas gave a small nod.

"Don't worry, you'll improve."

He will definitely improve more. It wasn't nice seeing his body falling down as his head was decapitated by that huge Troll on the 10th floor.

He didn't feel pain, as it was blocked. But the few moments he realized he was done for was enough for some experience, and made him remember how weak his body was.

His body couldn't keep up with his thinking process of a seasoned warrior! He doesn't know how he will fix it. But one thing was sure.

He will improve, definitely.

"Thank you, Sister Eira," Lukas replied with a nod, grateful for her words of encouragement.

"Hmm, good now. Let's go to the cafeteria. Your senior sister will give you all some tips," she spoke and gazed at Ama.

Who was busy looking at Lukas. Seeing her sister turning her head around, she also turned her face around asap. She was caught peeking at him.

Her sister smiled before reaching out to her, taking some silent steps. Without making any sound and once again a beautiful hand softly descended on her head.

Bam!

"Stop daydreaming. Come. Your sister will treat you to your favorite chocolate ice cream."

"Owww, why again!" Ama retorted, backing away and rubbing her head. But her sister didn't give her the time to whine more.

Grabbing her hand, she pulled her. "Come, stop whining. My sister killed three goblins today on the second day of the academy! It's time for more celebration."

Turning around at Ria and Lukas, "Come, let's go."

Lukas and Ria looked at each other, nodding, before they started following them. As they walked, of course, everyone's attention was on Senior Sister Eira. Among them, mostly were 3rd years or fourth years.

Lukas also couldn't help but agree. With the crowd, Sister Eira was beautiful and deserved such attention.

As he was thinking, his gaze fell on Ama.

"Will she become this beautiful too?" Lukas thought, but in the next second, his train of thought was cut off by Ria.

"Hey, they really are close," Ria spoke with a low tone.

Lukas turned to her and then looked at the sister duo. He smiled, remembering the somewhat cold face of his brother, who was once like that. Sighing, "Yeah, they are really close."

The group continued heading forward. Soon enough, they reached the place.

Of course, along the whole way, poor Ama was pulled by her sister all the way here. She tried her best to free herself from her sister's clutches.

Unfortunately for her, she wasn't a match. And when she tried to escape, she was met with a gentle head pat from her sister, making her say, "Ah, ouch, why again!" along the lines.

Finally arriving at the place, everyone had to scan their credit badge at the gate. Ama was finally released. She right away retreated and hid behind Ria.

Lukas laughed seeing this and looked back at the huge building, which had around two floors, titled "Cafeteria."

The entrance was big enough for dozens of people to enter simultaneously. Lukas observed how people were entering and exiting.

One just had to take out their credit token and pass through the transparent barrier on the door.

"Come, everyone. As a first. I assure you. You all have to visit this place a lot now and then," Eira spoke and started heading in.

Of course, the onlookers' eyes were glued to her.

Just like before, she ignored them all. Her hair fluttered softly in the air as she gracefully entered the place.

Lukas also followed soon after, gripping his badge in his hand. The other two also followed. Ria tried to pull Ama away from this parasite by firmly grabbing her hand, but failed with an utter defeat. She let it be.

Lukas also swiftly passed through the gate. Being sensitive to aura, he already felt that he was being scanned, albeit briefly. This made him realize once again how powerful the Owsdins Academy was in his past life and now in this life.

In that brief second, he felt like everything about him was scanned from head to toe before he even reacted.

The other two also followed suit and swiftly entered the place. The place was wide open, and students of various ages could be seen talking and eating in the cafeteria.

Soon, they found an empty table. Fortunately for them, the previous occupants had just left.

They sat down, Lukas sat beside Ria, and in front of them sat Eira and Ama. Ama was once again captured by her demon sister and unfortunately couldn't sit down with Lukas. To be continued...
