Nameless opened his eyes.
His eyes were shining like stars.
Vision entered his consciousness and in front of him stretched a giant forest with hundred meter tall trees.
The view was absolutely breathtaking, it looked straight out of an avatar movie or some fantasy world.
His eyes could see in an unimaginable quality effortlessly without any glasses or contacts and no need to squint.
His mind was clear without any brain fog.
In front of his eyes, the trees looked majestic, graceful and ancient.
The light of the sun penetrating through the cracks between the giant branches and leafs of the giant trees made the forest look dreamy almost like the shimmering of a mirage.
All colour perceptions were enhanced and looked warm, beautiful and all details stood out effortlessly.
Nameless lifted his head and looked at the tree in front of him, he could "see" everything.
The tree seemed alive as if it was a living being, each branch of it felt as if it was an expression of itself. He could see every detail of it from the giant branches down to the smaller leafs.
Leafs rustled and he turned his head only to see big birds fly through the branches and leaves chasing each other.
They had multi-colored rainbow feathers and they seemed as if they were gliding through the air, their flight seemed almost like a dance, an expression of themselves.
Nameless beheld the world and felt absolutely blown away by it, although he had lost his memories his consciousness still remembered how it felt being in a broken body with a dysfunctional brain for such a long period of time.
His previous state was similar to that of a zombie, a walking dead, it was a miracle that he was still alive back then with that unhealthy of a body.
But as he tried to remember specific parts of the past, he failed.
It seemed he had lost his memories.
No, that was not totally right, he was still himself but he couldn't pinpoint the past.
His consciousness could still remember what he had lived through, what he was.
The feelings he had felt, all the things he had experienced were deeply ingrained in himself and couldn't be lost but he had lost the ability to recall some of the past.
He had knowledge, raw knowledge of his past world and past life but he couldn't remember how he specifically got them.
He could remember his deepest feelings and who he was but some of his memories, specifically those that had dragged his past self were wiped away.
He was still the same consciousness but in that last moment he had left behind part of his previous self, all the crucial memories with people, all the memories of the light, of goodness that weighed on him were wiped away.
In fact, the most vivid memory he had was that of racing to reach the white light.
He could feel the difference now because his consciousness had been soaked in that previous body for so long that now that his consciousness had entered a new body, it created feelings of shock, suprise and other deep emotions.
Nameless felt deep feelings of melancholy as he remembered those last moments, he could feel the amount of risk he had taken as well as the deep emotions he had felt back then.
Those sorrowful and anxious feelings as well as that deep desire within his heart to finally, finally live true to himself.
"Nameless."
After some time, he remembered his last words, he had unconsciously spouted those words so the voice would shut up.
"Nameless, what a fitting name."
At this moment, he felt it was an appropriate name, it was his last words when he had risked death and right now, it felt a fitting name to have.
He didn't remember his name sometimes even in his first life, let alone now.
A few minutes passed before he finally felt truly awake.
"I succeded in the end!"
Nameless felt true excitment rushing through his veins which at last made him aware of his body.
He was shocked!
He felt true strength coarsing through his body, his muscles looked toned but they were still just of a natural size yet he could feel true power was contained in them.
He also felt that this new body was incomparably suited for his consciousness.
He could think faster and his mind seemed more resilient after that last experience in his previous life, it felt as he had broken through a barrier that was previously set in his mind.
"I wonder what happened to my previous body. it's probably dead by now."
He could feel his consciousness slowly adjusting to this new body, so he knew his previous body had died by now.
He could recall his past life but all those happy moments and the moments that represented light were foggy with very deep holes in between.
He could completely remember the last years of his previous life, specifically the path of aloneness that he was treading. Only those those beautiful memories that were holding back his true path were wiped away as if to relieve him from their burden once and for all.
Nameless thought of his past, remembering his previous self for a few moments.
"It is time I let go of the past."
He deeply sighed, although most of those emotions from the past that dragged him down had been washed away, there were still some traces, they were part of who he was after all.
"I can't let my past drag me down anymore."
"This is my new life, this is the last chance I was given. I can't waste it, I will live the way I want to. even if I die on the way, so be it. I have already died once anyway."
After saying that, his face became solemn.
He knew that all these beautiful breathtaking sceneries were merely distractions or rare exceptions, life itself was synonymous with relentless survival, only the relentless survive.
He was a clear example of this, if not for his relentless will to live in the moment of death, he would've already vanished from existence.
As he let go of those strands of emotions, he took a bit of time to adjust his mindset.
He wanted to forget this world for a few moments to steel his resolve as well as to make the most out of this new journey.
He moved his body and sprinted rapidly, he only used his body yet he was as fast as a charging horse!
He was still not used to this new body so he kept crashing on branches, trunks or because of missteps yet he didn't care at all.
After fifteen minutes of sprinting, he did not feel any fatigue.
Along the way, he realized joyfully: "this body might look weak, but it has incredible defense. During his sprint, none of the tree branches that scraped his body left a mark."
The sharp rocks on the ground were crushed when he stepped on them, they were no obstruction to him.
Furthermore, he had huge strength. just by leaping he could jump six meters!
Wind blew wildly past him and he couldn't help but laugh hysterically!
"Hahaha! Amazing! my previous body was so sickly, it couldn't even move properly yet this body responds perfectly even doing intricate maneveurs effortlessly!"
"Hahaha! in the end, I had the last laugh!"
He had done it, he had overcome that world, although it brought him to his knees.
In the end, by a stroke of luck and a relentless will, he rose up and defied his own fate!
Those unbreakable chains that felt suffocating were finally broken.
He leaped into a big branch, stabilising himself before jumping from branch to branch almost flying through the forest by the speed and power of his body.
He swinged from branches and vines like a monkey and jumped in the air like a madman.
He felt an intense refreshing feeling, just breathing and moving around was so blissful.
He climbed a few branches upwards being careful not to fall before beholding the forest.
"Woah, this feels even more beautiful than those imaginary fantasy worlds in fiction and movies."
The forest was gigantic and light rippled through it all while the trees felt alive, he felt almost a connection to them yet he didn't see many living beings yet.
He didn't know that the whirlpools had made most living beings escape.
He kept moving and experiencing his new body, he couldn't help but sometimes feel a weird feeling near his butt but he ignored it.
He kept jumping and moving through the forest for hours.
The power of his body and it's cooerdination allowed such a freedom that even after passing the the forest and arriving at a giant foggy ravine he could move across the giant branch that connected one side of the forest to the other without fear of falling nor any mistake, it seemed his body knew exactly how to traverse it.
From above, it looked like an ant was madly rushing across a branch wildly jumping.
Nameless felt true freedom, something he had never even tasted in his previous life.
His long hair swinged as he kept running.
After a small amount of time, he arrived at the other part of the forest.
As he moved along the ground and entered the forest. He could see small bodies of water and puddles, an idea popped up in his mind, he had forgot to look at himself!
Approaching a slightly big puddle of clear water, he looked at himself.
He was very tall compared to his previous body. He had a beautiful face and a well-toned body with good muscles yet he didn't care much, he wasn't obsessed with his appearence like the people in his previous world.
What attracted his attention however were his eyes. he had blue eyes but that wasn't the suprising part. What was suprising was that his blue eyes had vertical pupils, almost like a reptile which deeply suprised him.
From afar they looked like normal human eyes but upon closer inspection, a vertical pupil could be seen.
That wasn't very weird however, the only weird thing was a weird feeling near his butt.
Nameless turned to look but he was hit in the head.
"Aiii, what hit me?"
"What the fuck! what is this?!"
as he looked, he saw a small tail between his legs.
He tried moving it and it moved weirdly like a worm, he didn't know how to move it yet but he felt he could learn how to.
His back also had long faint horizontal grey scars that weren't scars, they seemed like grey body coloration on his back almost like the ones on a tiger.
He checked his teeth but aside from slightly taller and sharper fangs, his teeth were normal. They weren't too large nor too big like beast teeth, they fit perfectly in his mouth and weren't annoying at all.
Nameless kept looking at himself before realising he had ran the whole way naked.
He couldn't be blamed though, he didn't feel any cold compared to his previous body where just a gust of cold wind would make him shiver.
Nameless climbed a tree branch before jumping and using his weight to pull the smallest half green, half brown leaf. The leaf bent for a few seconds before it was torn.
He then used his strength to tear it into smaller parts, however he didn't know how to make clothes from leafs so he just enveloped the leaf around his chest and waist as well as his lower part.
These leafs were slightly sticky and did a good job covering him without hindering his movements.
Nameless didn't just use these leaves to cover up but to also blend with the environment.
"Oh wait, what if the leafs are dangerous?"
He couldn't help but think that, he didn't have a choice anyway but he had to alteast consider that first and he didn't.
"It seems I let this small freedom get to my head, what am I even doing in this part of the forest. just those birds from before would be a pain to deal with."
As if the world was answering his call, a pair of red foxes appeared in front of him.
These two foxes were double the size of foxes back on earth, about the size of a dog.
What was surpising however was that they had a fire nape that stretched from the upper part of their forehead to their back and small strands of fire dissipated from them as they moved.
They looked slightly frail as if they were cubs. they were rank 1 fire foxes.
Nameless felt adrenaline rushing throuh his veins and entered a fight or flight response!
This was his first encounter with another living being, he didn't know what to do.
As he was looking at them and with the adrenaline pumping through his veins, some of his instincts were lighted up, he felt powerful as if he could totally defeat them.
This time however he thought more carefully : "they look like cubs, maybe their mothers is not far away, I have to be careful."
Yet as he looked more carefully, he couldn't help but think : "why are these red foxes near these puddles of water, the environment isn't suitable for them, maybe there were pushed away by other beasts to the outer layer of the forest?"
As he realised that, sparks lighted up in his eyes and some of his instincts took over.
He felt he could overpower them, his body felt powerful and he instinctively felt he could defeat them without getting injured.
"Anyway, I will defeat them then immediately escape back to the previous part of the forest, this place feels more and more dangerous."
As he thought that, he rushed forward.
The fire foxes hesitated for a bit before jumping towards him with their jaws open ready to bite.
Nameless was too inexperienced in battle, one fox bit his forearm while the other bit his leg and they lit up with fire yet to his suprise although he didn't even feel the heat in his hands, he wasn't burned at all and they didn't even leave a scratch!
Using the momentum of his run, he slammed the fox that bit his forearm to the ground!
To his suprise, the fire fox's skull was crushed immediately and he laid motionless on the ground.
He lifted his other foot and stomped on the other fire fox killing him instantly.
Nameless was shocked!
He was able to defeat such magical creatures so easily, something didn't feel right.
As he was about to leave, a small light reflected in his eyes, he moved closer to inspect it before finding a small ball the size of a small rock.
It was red and almost not fully formed, for some reason, he instinctively felt like putting it in his mouth.
As he put it in his mouth, he crushed it with his teeth and he swallowed red fire liquid energy. He was shocked to see a small increase in his energy.
He moved to the other fox and did the same.
"These small almost bean-sized balls seem to contain the power of these beasts, strange!"
"Also how did I even know I could do it, it felt almost like I knew I could do it or atleast my body knew."
As he was deep in thought, the bushes rustled and a big fire fox appeared!
it was tall almost reaching to his chest, it was bigger and more powerful and fire was dissipating from its fiery nape that spread from its forehead to its lowerback.
"Fuck! it's their mother!"
His heart sank upon seeing the fire fox charging towards him.
It was fast! even if he turned, he wouldn't be able to outrun it.
It was a peak rank 2 fire fox!
The fox opened his mouth and sent a big ball of fire.
The fire approached Nameless at high speed, the leafs on his body resisted the fire for moment before the fire engulfed the upper part of his body.
"Fuck!"
Fire engulfed his vision and his whole body.
He felt a bit of heat yet as the fire dissipated, he felt nothing.
"Wait, what? the fox's attack wasn't weak at all. it seems I understimated the power of this body!"
Nameless felt excited and couldn't help but anticipate his fight with the fox.
The fox felt his enthusiasm which made it even more enraged. He had killed its cubs after all.
They both charged at each other, the fox bit his shoulder and enveloped its body with raging fire as if to damage him the most possible and kill him.
Nameless felt a bit of the heat, his skin turning red for a moment but he didn't feel any pain. He used the energy of his charging momentum to send his knee to its stomach at high speed.
Boom
The fox felt its insides rearranged!
A gust of wind even blew after the blow.
The fox retreated a bit of distance, it was almost limping but it's still charged forward.
It felt as if it really wanted to kill him but one more punch from Nameless was enough to seal its fate.
