Chapter 52 - Chaos

With how the current development is, it seemed that peace would forever reign on Earth. But, all things in the universe have its end. Despite them not being affected of hunger and thirst, they soon noticed that, after the generation of the Three Princes who only died after reaching at least 900 years old, the next generation's life seemed to have been cut short. From being able to live for at least 500 years, humanity's life expectancy came down to 100 as the oldest person. Even Ham's son, the leader of Ham's dominion, Cush, died in his sleep. This made the people realize that they do not have a long time to stay in this world.

In desperation, the Great Capital decided to focus their efforts on researching how to lengthen it back to how it was in the past. Some researchers inside Shinar tried to return to feasting and drinking, which seemed to have lengthened life for at least 20 years. When this was discovered by Ham's descendants, instead of releasing the knowledge to the public, they instead hid it deep within the circles of Shinar's nobilities, leaders of large clans and communities. They also began to plan an invasion, an invasion to dominate the resources for their lives.

While this was happening, in the Glorious Capital, unaware of the discoveries that the others have created, Shem's descendants proclaimed that eating was now prohibited, saying that all life on Earth is sacred and equal to humanity. This declaration had been fully supported by the people of Kanesh, proclaiming that all life should be cherished. When this proclamation was declared, even the earthly divines rejoiced, knowing that they would be able to coexist in peace with the dominant inhibitors of this world.

When the news reached the Great Capital, the nobles and the current leader of Ham's subjects, Nimrod, were sent into frenzy. They want to live longer yet they still do not want to offend the Glorious Capital, at least not yet. A long discussion ensued between them, and after endless bickering, Nimrod and the nobles decided to forgo feasting for now. They would only do so once they hold more power and influence than the two capitals combined.

Instead, to preserve the discoveries they made, they later announced the beginning of a major construction that would encourage builders from all over the world's participation. According to Nimrod in the announcement that he made just the day after, 'they shall build a tower for the Almighty, a tower that would reach the heavens to symbolize His greatness'.

This tower is said to be where a lot of writings in the world shall be stored, all written in the Heavenly Language that was introduced to them by the angels. It being a storage of knowledge also symbolize God's eternal and all-encompassing wisdom that would help humanity to be closer to Him.

When everyone heard of the plan, talents from all over the world began to join the manpower. People were enthusiastic of the Great Capital's plan, saying that they are doing great things by connecting humanity to the heavens. But, of course, there was a small mishap, with a disgusting, messy man carrying a huge cloth in his back shouting things like 'That's not what that means!" or "You shouldn't continue doing this, you will drag humanity to sin!". Of course, such nonsense was ignored by the people. Such a grand plan like the Tower of Babel wouldn't bring sin to the world, it would bring humanity closer to God!

All resources poured into the building of the tower, where even earthly spirits joining their cause. It seemed that the angels were the only race absent.

Time passed in Earth like a leaf being carried by a raging river. When the first floor of the tower was completed, it was instantly opened to the public. Stretching over 24 acres, it's halls of gold, silver, and stone was magnificent beyond belief. Art was engraved all over the interior and exterior of the tower. The outside was adorned with runes and elegant strokes of perfect geometric shapes, while the interior walls were filled with engravings of the world shortly after the restoration of life here on Earth, with the 108-colored rainbow stretching from one side of the wall to the ceiling before reaching the other side.

The first floor was then filled with temporary walled rooms to accommodate the workers of the tower to significantly lessen their burden. But, as the foreign workers are continuing their work above, some of Nimrod's and his brothers Mizraim and Canaan's men began to discreetly build downwards, creating a secret floor that only the nobles of Shinar know of. The secret floor will be where the secret research documents of Shinar that would surely offend the entire community would be stored.

This would go on for many more years to come. Many people were killed in the process of hiding the truth. Nimrod, leading the men of Ham into greater prosperity by expanding their reaches to the East and controlling much of the resources of the mountains, brought more and more power, authority and influence to the Great Capital, soon exceeding that of Jerusalem's and Kanesh. He also began building up the city's military might by recruiting men from all over the cities under their territory secretly and bringing them to hidden training grounds up in the mountains.

Once everything was prepared, the day came. Nimrod, adorned with golden jewels and a long royal robe, stood in front of thousands of people, proclaimed, "I, Nimrod, son of Cush, grandson of Ham, great-grandson of the Servant of God Noah, shall declare our independence from the Heavenly Empire to establish our own Kingdom; The Kingdom of Nineveh!" As he said that, thousands of armored men surrounded the walls of the Great City. A brown banner with a six-winged silhouette holding a long sword swayed all over not just the City of Shinar, but in all of the cities that knew and supported the uprising. The Heavenly Empire's blue flag of peace and harmony torn down and thrown on the floor, signifying that Shinar has now denounced the Empire's existence.
