Chapter 13 - Noah's Journey

"Gather the people of Adam and the remaining families who stayed devoted to His cause and bring them to the ark. All must be done in the span of 444 years."

"Now, go forth and spread the word. The time of judgment is upon thee."

"Thy God and My God's will be done." Noah bowed and accepted the order. With his mission accomplished, Enoch was then lifted up to the sky before being basked in the rays of the sun, vanishing without a trace.

Noah bowed one last time before standing up, picking up the golden chest on the ground with reverence and care. As he picked it up, it suddenly shrank and entered his body, which shocked him. But with no time to waste, Noah turned, and ran towards their home. He bid goodbye to his father Lamech, spreading the word of Enoch's God, and left in a hurry to begin his journey.

For the following years, Noah did exactly what was ordered to him. Traveling the world by land or by sea, he searched for the clean animals of this world, untainted by the beastly genes of the demons and humans, and stored them within the divine chest.

In the journey, he met old friends, followers of his God that stayed secluded and hadn't given in to the temptation of bowing down to the demons.

There were also old believers of the demons that finally realized the cruel truth, and decided to join the cause.

Soon, a huge secret order was formed, consisting of different people from different families, different societies, and different statuses in life, formed not to personally go against the tyranny of the Demons, but to be saved and await the Judgment that God would rain down over the sinners and vile beasts of this world.

This time, unlike the other secret societies that showed themselves before, this order was incredibly secretive, relying on symbols, codes, and texts to recognize their members. Also, with them having no intentions to rebel, the demons couldn't care less about them and what they do. The name of the order?

The Knights Templar.

As Noah's travels went on, he saw the beasts that proliferated the world. A crocodile with demonic eyes, a half human half reptile breed, other half humans, a cross with a lizard and a kangaroo, a ten-foot-tall wolf, other humongous beasts that were even taller than houses, and a lot more. The beasts of the sea weren't even included there!

Noah also became more powerful and proficient in divine art. His control became more sophisticated and smoother that he had discovered new abilities to use for the art.

By manipulating the frequency of the energy, he discovered the ability to purify souls and vanquish demons which he discovered accidentally.

He also gained the ability to use souls to do his bidding, in a way that he and the souls wouldn't be affected negatively.

After two hundred years, he had finally done it; Gathered the essences of all the clean animals of this world and stored them within the chest.

He soon began his journey back, praying to Him for a safe travel home. Unfortunately for him, He had other plans.

Whoosh!

In the middle of the blue sea, Noah stood on an old wooden coble, worn down by the test of time and the rampaging of the seas of old.

Noah was wearing an old hooded cloak as he held a wooden paddle in his hand.

As he was paddling, the sound of strong winds and the turmoil of the seas started to alert Noah. He squinted, and beyond the horizon, he saw darkness.

Storm clouds loomed over the sea. Lightning crackled, thunder boomed, hitting the waters and killing the fishes on the surface. The waters were also rampaging as the waters rose, forming gigantic waves.

Noah, for the first time in years, was in a state of trepidation. Although he was protected by God's blessings, such strong weather still concerns him.

But, as the terrorizing weather grew near, Noah gradually noticed something off about it, or rather, something off below the water.

As he looked closer, his nervousness vanished completely as confidence grew in his heart. If the weather was caused by nature, it would really be a problem for him.

If it was a demon, however…

Below the raging sea, Noah saw its head that was tens of miles long and wide, with horns as large as its head, gazing at the boat, or rather, him.

Its long, snake-like body extended down to the depths of the waters, as far as Noah's naked eye could see.

Slowly, the horns of the beast started to emerge from the waters, bringing with it huge waves whilst Noah had his wooden staff touching the water, making the surroundings of the boat sit stably on the wanton sea.

After its horn, its head also rose. It was that of a serpent, but with a rather thicker and fuller scales due to the pressure of the waters beneath. Its eyes glowed like fire, striking fear into anyone who dares to look at it. Even Noah, who was immune to fear, felt pressure building up on his soul.

As the beast growled, its mouth opened. Within it were hundreds of rows of huge, razor-sharp teeth. Its serpentine tongue was also covered with backwards-facing spines like that of a cat.

If compared, just the tip of the tongue alone was already the size of the boat that Noah was currently standing on.

Soon, its body started to rise from the water, reaching quite high, but still not fully lifting the majority of its body from the water.

"Speaketh, demon! What is thy name?" Noah asked with confidence brimming in his veins.

"Kekeke…" a slight cackle could be heard, coming from the beast.

Provoked, Noah gripped his cloak and removed it from his body, revealing an unblemished white gold robe, made by his very own hands with the assistance of the divine. Due to that characteristic of the robe, it held great power against demonic enemies.

"Speaketh, demon! I order thee under His authority!" Noah declared loudly, exerting his dominance over the beast, with his cloak gleaming with divine light.
