Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6 (HEATED PARTY

(SILVER CITY)

EVA'S POV

"Let's see the kind of wolf my mate has." I froze in place. I was scared, not only scared. I was shattered, no that was an understatement cuz I was broken. I felt my limbs no more.

It's like I was already dead, my body present but my mind and everything far away. 'Alex.. Alex.. Alex,' He was the only thing in my mind. The only hope for my salvation.

'Please do something, Alex." My eyes were searching his but I just seemed not to find him. Maybe he had not yet arrived. I had to switch superheroes. Someone had to save me and in that case, Gael would be the best option.

"Let's not do this in public, I can shift in private...." I couldn't finish my statement when he clapped happily before everyone.

"The stage is yours mate." He said the last words smiling from ear to ear, his cute killer eyes motioning me to move forward which I did.

My eyes were already wet as I struggled to suppress the liquid forming within. Yes, I was weak and about to undergo public humiliation but I refused to fret.

I looked at the crowd one last time and my eyes landed on Alex. Tricia's face appeared from his back hugging him tightly. I was angered, to think that I had hopes for him as my savior.

Everyone watched as my bones deformed painfully as Lexa took over. 'Am sorry Eva.' Said Lexa my wolf. 'It's not your fault Lexa.' Those were my last words to her as we remained unmoved on the floor.

I was shocked that this time even my goddamn front limbs were weak and could make no motion.

"OMG, can you take a look at her limbs? They are bowed, deformed each one facing opposite directions." I heard one of the girls make a shout-out as her camera was directed at me.

I would have shifted back into my human form if not for one disadvantage. I would turn into a two-legged human being. I could only bury my head in shame and disappointment as everyone took an image of me.

"Shame on you, shame on all of you!" I heard Alex snap moving closer to my wolf. "Is this something to rejoice about?" He screamed looking at Gael who was both lost and confused.

"She's the best she-wolf you'll ever get to meet," Alex said lifting my wolf to himself.  I know he only did that because he was scared. He knew a rejection from an Alpha could either break me or kill my wolf if it was weak.

There was no doubt at all that my wolf was weak owing to my current status. "Show me where she can change." He said to one of the Omegas from our Pack and she walked towards the Omegas section.

"You may leave now." He snapped and I saw her take to her heels.  "Change into this." He said turning to face the door.

"You may leave now," I said coldly, and he smirked.

"Is that what I get after helping you out? How ungrateful." I had no time to listen to his words and I walked past him. "Don't you ever walk away from me again?" He snapped hugging me tight.

'Why because you're an Alpha and am just a goddamn Omega!' I wish I could utter the words out loud but only broke from the hug and ran away.

"Come over here." Someone pulled me into a room nearby and locked the door.

'He's here to reject us Eva, ran away. Only you can run away.' Lexa said slightly shattered. 'We're staying here and we'll handle whatever the circumstances might be.' I said though scared.

I know rejection from my Alpha mate would kill Lexa.

"You're here to reject me right?" I asked and he frowned.

"Can I see your wolf again?" He asked the foolish question I wouldn't want anyone to ask me. Why would he want to see a disabled wolf? Wasn't the humiliation enough?

"Why? What for? So that you can humiliate me, make fun of me, and most reject me afterward?" I snapped struggling to set my hand free from his tight grip.

"Something's special about you, something I wish I had but sadly I don't." He paused. "Would you believe me that your wolf has the same features as my mother and father?" He asked letting go of me.

"I wonder on a scale of one to ten whether there's a possibility of an Omega to have very fierce, cold, menacing bloodshot red eyes. Only an Alpha can have that." He turned towards me.

"Your existence might be a curse from the moon goddess if an Alpha cheated on his mate with your lustful mother." His eyes quickly took their yellow form.

I don't know what to say or do. I was completely broken. Was my existence a curse? Something that could never be broken since it was directly from the moon goddess?

Whether I was a cursed mate or not, no one had the right to judge my wolf and me. Come to think of it, his wolf had yellow blazing eyes, is there a possibility that he may not be an Alpha?

I was about to snap when his expression softened. "It's not your fault being disabled." He held my arm directing me to a coach nearby.

"Has life as an Omega been hard for you? Mate." He said the last word almost as a whisper.
