Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Start The Fight With Drug Lord

"You've brought trouble to our doorstep. So, there is one end for you, and you know that, right? Whether your story is true or not, the consequences remain the same. We need to deal with this situation, and you will have to pay for what happened, whether that mistake is conditional or unconditional," the middle-sited person said to Min-Jae.

Hearing this, Min-Jae stood frozen, resembling an ice sculpture, a pig awaiting slaughter.

Just as the man finished speaking and gave his instructions to his boys, the door burst open, revealing Captain Lee and her team ready to take control of the room. The sudden intrusion caught everyone off guard.

Everyone looked foolish on the drug lord's team, and the same went for Min-Jae, who was so shocked that his eyes seemed ready to pop out of their sockets.

"It looks like your gathering has come to an end here, and thanks, Min-Jae. Without your guidance, we wouldn't have been able to catch him and come to this place," Ji-Won said, showing her gun to the sitting middle man. All her team members had arrived by different ways, either through doors or windows.

Hearing Ji-Won's words, the drug lord had a smile on his face, as if this was all a joke to him. "What a pleasant surprise. I did not expect that we have you here, Miss Huntress."

"My pleasure. So, would you like the surprise?" Ji-Won said to the man sitting in the middle.

"I've heard a lot about you, and now I also get to see you," the middle-sitted man said to Ji-Won.

"That's enough talk from you. We don't have much time, and what are you doing in this darkness, being mysterious?" Sergeant Park said to the middle-sitted man.

"Why are you all in such a hurry? You have just come here, so wait for a while. What do you have to do by going there? Anyway, you take us there, and you will do an inquiry there," the drug lord, leaning back in his chair, said to Ji-Won, looking into her eyes.

"From the way you speak to your subordinate, you don't look like a fool. Is it because we caught you that you've become a fool? And what are you doing there in the dark? Come into the light; we would like to see your face," Detective Kim said, interrupting the middle person with a commanding voice.

"How dare you talk like this to our boss? Do you think you can stop us? Is it your confidence or foolishness?" the person who is on the left side of the middle-sitting person retorted.

"How we talk to you is none of your concern. I think you need to understand the position you're in before asking questions," Sergeant Park said, glaring at the left-sited man.

They both glared at each other as if they would devour one another if given the chance.

"Let me help you, Mr. Drug Dealer, to light your face so we can all see your reaction right now," Sergeant Choi said, interrupting them again and trying to shine a light on the drug dealer's face. But before he could do it...

"Bang! Bang!"

When Sergeant Choi started pointing the light at his face, the drug dealer suddenly took a gun from his back pocket. His hand movements were barely visible in the darkness, and only Captain Ji-Won saw his action. Before she could warn anyone, the drug dealer had already fired two shots – one to her side and the other to Sergeant Choi. Quickly, he took the shield of a desk, and everyone began running. The police members and the drug dealer's men engaged in a chaotic fight of punches and kicks. Ji-Won's gun had slipped from her hand due to the previous shot that narrowly missed her but forced her to drop the weapon. Sergeant Choi, injured from the close-range shot to his right shoulder, ignored the blood flowing from his wound and started counterattacking them all, marking the beginning of the firefight. One side kept firing from behind covers, while the drug dealer, who was now unarmed, was left with only three men shielded by the table.

In the chaos that ensued, Min-Jae found a momentary escape from the impending doom that awaited him. He took advantage of the distraction caused by the sudden gunfire and clashes between the police team and the drug dealer's men. In the confusion, he slipped away from the immediate danger, trying to blend into the shadows of the dimly lit room.

Meanwhile, Captain Ji-Won quickly assessed the situation, her instincts kicking in. Despite the surprise attack, she managed to take cover and shouted orders to her team. "Spread out! Take cover! We need to neutralize the threat and secure the area!"

The drug lord activated a device from his pocket, and more people from the drug side rushed into the room, having been on standby. As a drug lord, he couldn't go anywhere until he was sure that nothing would happen.

The room turned into a battleground, with bullets flying, punches landing, and tension filling the atmosphere. The drug lord's men, who moments ago were confident and mocking, now found themselves in a fierce struggle against the trained police force.

In the midst of this, because every single light was broken by the deceiving firing of the drug lord's people, and the drug lord fled by changing his outfit with his guards following suit. They replaced their positions with the guards without anyone noticing, continuing to fire from this new position, making it seem like they were just normal guards.

Detective Kim, with a determined expression, retaliated against the attackers, showcasing his combat skills. Sergeant Choi, despite his shoulder injury, gritted his teeth and fought back. The tables became makeshift shields as the police force tried to close in on the drug dealer's position.
