The cage in front of Leo bursts open, from which jumps out an elephant sized lizard with horns of an elk.
"You insane old bastard." Leo cries.
"Hissss." The monster responds, charging relentlessly forward with the veracity of a bullet train.
"Fuuck." Leo cursed. He leaps out of the beast's path in the moment before impact. Leo could Judge by its strength and speed it must make it a Goliath rank.
The ranks of Monsters are often interchanged with the ranks of Martial artists, but when referred to with their chart it goes.
Chimera, often weak and its looks devolved greatly from animals, split into rank one, two, and three.
Goliath, is close to that of low tier legends, like the centaur. Can be split into two ranks.
Siren, monsters that mimic humans often fall in this tier, High and low.
Leviathan, beasts of Immense size, unlike the general tier is not split.
Titan, beasts that rule land and are strong and smart enough to destroy cities by themselves if not stopped, monsters like the griffin and cerberus fall here.
Angel, beings hundreds of years old, the hydra falls here.
Cardinal, beasts of the deep, they rarely surface from the water, but when they do they are catastrophic.
Heavenly defiant, named monsters almost all as smart as humans. Hail the eater of kings, is a serpent the size of a train, known for his impenetrable scales. Volcana the destroyer of countries, she's a wingless dragon who controls lightning better than a emperor tier mage.
And the strongest monster ever reported, the one that took the only khan's life and died doing so. The elemental tier, Rage.
If Leo's assumption is correct this big dude right here is a basilisk, which would put him at most Goliath tier two.

In the stands of the coliseum Saints hand began to think to himself. The basilisk is a difficult opponent that was personally selected for this test. Its thick hide is hard to penetrate even with a weapon, but the biggest problem is its horns, the moment you even get slightly touched by them you start getting turned to stone, the only cure is amputation, unless you're Saints Hand of course. He giggles at his own brilliance.
As soon as Leo jumps out of the way, he readies himself, within a blink of an eye, his palms smacked three times against the beast's hide, each smack is followed by an orchestra of thuds. However the blows seemed to do nothing but anger the beast.
"Rahhhhhhhhhhhhh" The monster screamed.
The basilisk swings its horns around in every direction, like a haywire train it cared not for what it hit. It stormed into the cage sending it flying across the arena. BOOM.
Within the dust Leo disappeared, and with the next moment he's on the basilisk's back. He let loose slap after slap, each let out a resounding thud.
His form seems close to perfect but to the legendary Saints Hand, it was obvious.
"So all this, and he's mimicking the Martial God. What a devilish man to look up to." He whispered.
The beast, though visibly pained, keeps on fighting, till the slaps of the man slows, each hit is less thunderest than the last, sweat drips from all pores of his body. The fight took them both by storm, but the basilisk still has fight in him, there was no doubt in the beast, only assurance of victory. But strangely, even with how primitive this beast is, there also is respect in there, as if it was an honor to find a worthy opponent.
The boy drops to his knees, his very life seeps from his eyes. However the basilisks doesn't move in for the kill, no malice remains in it, all it does is lay there watching the unmoving body of Leo.
"Interesting." Saints Hand exclaimed.
