Leo opens his eyes, to once again a bafflingly different ceiling.
"Deja Vu?" He muttered. The fierce unrelenting battle replayed through his head. "Fuck you, you fucking old bastered." He's never cursed so hard in his life. He thought he was dead for sure. There was little chance he could have ever beaten a Goliath tier monster, the fact that he's still alive felt like a miracle in itself. The room around him is almost completely empty except for the mattress he's laying on. Leo begrudgingly gets up and opens the door.
"What's up, newbie." The voice is smooth and thick, like crunchy peanut butter. The man leaning against the wall looks at Leo with caring eyes through his thick antique sunglasses.
"Who are you?" Leo asks wearily.
"Oh newbie, you can think of me as your master, wait, wait, that doesn't sound quite right. You can think of me as your teacher." The man expressed.
"What?" Leo questions.
"I'm the head teacher of the martial arts department in the school. I'm sure you've heard of me, I'm Zengo Nevada." The man announces with little faith.
"Zengo Nevada?" Leo asked to make sure.
Zengo nods.
"Never heard of you." His honest reply.
"What? Mabie you misheard me, I'm Zengo Nevada." Zengo's eye's knowingly stiffened.
"Nope."
"Zengo Nevada."
"Still no."
"Zengo Nevada? Zengo Nevada?" He looks at his feet and begins to mumble "I thought you were different, but I guess you're the same after all."
"I'm sorry, I Couldn't hear what you said."
He clears his throat "You my friend are one strange guy, you know the old fool had to fight that basilisk to retrieve you."
"I don't see anything strange with that." Leo furrowed his brows.
The man laughs. "No, the monster protected you." He wags his finger in Leo's face."Now's not the time though. Newbie, school starts in just a week and a half, and you I'm sure need a tour of this place. "
