Chapter 34 - Cease fire ?

Karak,

King Aric is the same as Skulm. Both have not had good sleep for days, especially since hearing the decisive victory from the Soviets. He is having another round of meetings with his ministers.

"Elowen, it's been a long time, haven't you got more detailed intel about the Soviet army? I know it is almost impossible to defeat them, but we still need to know about them, even if there is only one chance." He first asks the head of the wizard, the one who helps to provide intel through magic since the Soviet Union here.

Elowen stood tremblingly with a paper and said, "My lord, our department does collect more detailed intel about the Soviets, for example, their operation against the Undead during the previous few weeks. But I will suggest you have some mental preparation, they are more horrible than we think."

"Yes I am ready, just give me the paper." He stretched out his hand and the paper flew into his hand

Of course, Aric knew how terrifying they were, but he just wanted to know what their weakness was. No matter how small the weakness was, he could find a way to solve it.

Despite thinking he had already prepared to see the details, the moment he read, he still felt a moment faint.

Only for the soldiers that participate in the offence on the undead is more than 10 million, it is more than ten times the maximum army that the Karak can mobilize, and even take a very big proportion of the Karak population. This even without counting all those advanced weapons, if including them, he believed even if the whole Karak population was an army, they would not be the opponent of them.

Think in another way, Aric suddenly found that he had thought too much, the undead have even more amount than the Karak population, and didn't they get defeated easily by the Soviets?

Take a deep breath, he asks " Any idea of the Soviets casualties?"

"We believe it is less than half a million."

There was silence for a moment.

10 million, plus the remainder of their army that did not join the offensive, let's say 20 million. "Elowen, is that their limit?" Aric counts it up himself; even if the number is dreadful, as long as there is a number, there is hope. He felt a moment of faintness.

"My lord, I believe it isn't. From what we know, even though their country has initiated total mobilization, they have only called back a portion of their reservists to the army. We have once again checked their total population... up to 300 million. According to their history from World War II, their population was 170 million at that time, and they mobilized and conscripted 34 million people. Therefore, we estimate their current limit to be approximately 60 million."

60 million... is nearly the entire population of Kara.

Aric was lost in thought and did not know what to do after hearing the news.

"Let's not discuss that for now, Prime Minister. What about the Orcs? What is their reaction to the news that the Soviets are moving another few million troops to their border? I hope they don't do anything foolish."

Williams, the Prime Minister, was now his turn trembling in response.

"My lord, the Orcs have decided to fight until the end. Perhaps they understand what they did in the USSR and what the Soviets did to them in return has already bred hatred on both sides. It will be difficult for them to return to peace. I worry that even if one side desires it, the other will not accept."

"God damn these fucking retarded Orcs! Orcs are Orcs, completely brainless. Do they think they can still halt the Soviet assault? Prime Minister, I order you to facilitate a ceasefire between the two sides. It is imperative and an order, do not return to see me if you cannot accomplish it." Aric almost lost his mind after hearing that the Orcs were unwilling to cease fire. At least for Karak, they would have to confront an unbeatable state that had combined the magic and spells of two superpowers.

"What about the other human countries? Have they accepted our alliance request?" After calming down, he posed another question.

By this time, William was so frightened that he could barely speak, as what he was about to say was yet another piece of bad news.

"My...My lord, unfortunately, these idiot thinks that our request and news are just a conspiracy. They did not believe there was such a superpower that could destroy the undead in a few weeks. They... they reject our suggestions and ask our men to get out of their country."

"Didn't their intel department tell them what had happened in the north?"

"I believe they did, but they do not care, since we are still here."

"Bang!!!"

The paper that was originally held in Aric hand is now firmly nailed to a wall made of enchanted stone.

"These dogs, for so many years, the Karak have been protecting them from the orcs and undead, yet they did not thank for it, and still want to get some from us, invade us when we are in danger. Alright, we fought back and took back what we got, yet they blame us as a brutal regime, just because our soldiers did what they can't do."

"And now, we said that the whole of humanity is in danger and we need their help, and they again ignore, just because we are here to block all these dangers for them and they think it is none of their business. These people have stayed in their comfort zone for too long, and do not know what the world outside is like..."

He stopped for a while and called for another person,

"Marshal!"

Thomas stands up and waits for Aric order.

"Mobilize all of our troops, start to conscript for recruit, send all our army to the south, including the expeditionary forces, and prepare for another round of war with these idiots, they should know our might too. William, tell these idiots, they have only two choices, either form alliances with us or surrender to us when our army reaches. They need to be awakened."

Everyone does not dare to speak about anything else, Aric has made his decision, and even though their country will be destroyed by the Soviets in the future, at least at the moment, he will destroy those who do not cooperate with him first.
