Chapter 28 - Why I feel that you two are very compatible?

Although Isabella wanted to keep Olivia, Olivia wasn't easily fooled. Despite Isabella's repeated invitations, Olivia didn't budge. The four of them ended up having only a meal together.

Seeing that it was still early, Isabella lowered her head and asked Alexander, "Alex, would you like to go shopping?"

Alexander nodded.

"I'll go too," Grace immediately said, "It's been a long time since we went shopping together."

Alexander glanced at Grace with a faint expression that couldn't be described as happy.

Isabella didn't mind, nodded, and looked at Lilian beside her.

Lilian shook her head, "I have something else to do, so I won't accompany you."

In the end, Isabella pushed the wheelchair and went to the nearby mall with Grace and Alexander.

The mall was crowded, with high-end women's clothing stores on the second floor and men's clothing stores on the third floor. They decided to start with the second floor.

Summer was approaching, and many new dresses had arrived at the stores.

Isabella spotted a white dress that she liked. Leaving Alexander in Grace's care, she took the dress to the fitting room.

The pure white dress, knee-length with a hem adorned with ruffles, looked fresh and cute. It could be paired with a jacket in spring or worn alone in summer. It was quite beautiful.

Isabella came out of the fitting room and asked the two, "Is it nice?"

Grace nodded.

Alexander pursed his lips, his gaze falling on Isabella's legs. She had changed out of her jeans, revealing a pair of slender and beautiful legs. His eyes deepened, and he said, "Ugly!"

He made a disgusted expression on his face.

"Ugly?"

Isabella checked herself in the mirror, "It doesn't look ugly."

Grace said, "It's nice. You can't trust a man's taste!"

Isabella glanced at Alexander, thought for a moment, and said, "Let me try something else."

Later on...

Alexander said all the dresses were ugly!

Isabella: ...

Should have believed Grace!

Cutie doesn't have taste!

"Never mind, never mind," Isabella waved her hand, "The crew will start shooting soon, and I won't be able to wear dresses. After filming, summer will be over, and I won't need dresses anyway. I'll just buy clothes for the cutie."

Isabella had long noticed that Alexander's wardrobe mainly consisted of shirts and suits, mostly in black. Previously, when Alexander had to go to work, wearing such clothes was natural. However, now that Alexander was mostly resting at home, there was no need to dress so formally. This time, Isabella came to buy some casual and loungewear for Alexander.

Isabella pushed Alexander into a clothing store and asked, lowering her head, "Alex, if you see any clothes you like, just let me know, and I'll buy them for you, okay?"

Alexander nodded obediently.

Seeing Isabella's gentle and soft-spoken manner, Grace looked at Alexander, who was also obedient, and curiously asked, "Is this how you two always are at home?"

Isabella looked up at her, "Is there a problem?"

"It's just..." Why I feel that you two are very compatible?

Isabella pushed the wheelchair and continued to stroll through the store. When she saw a piece of casual wear, she thought it would look good on Alexander, so she picked it up.

"How about this one? Do you like it?" Isabella asked.

Alexander shook his head, pointing to a black coat nearby and looking at her eagerly.

Alright, it's black again! How much do you like black?

"Let's try something in white?" Isabella coaxed gently.

Alexander pursed his lips, not saying a word. His long eyelashes trembled as he looked at her with his dark eyes.

"Okay, okay, okay!" Isabella immediately surrendered, "Black it is. Would you like to try the clothes on in the fitting room?"

Alexander nodded.

Isabella asked the sales assistant to bring a suitable size for Alexander, pushed him into the fitting room, and then stepped out. When she came out, she saw Grace with a strange expression on her face.
