Chapter 10 - Butler, Am I Right?

The Bennett estate was vast, resembling a small manor, complete with its own small forest.

From the courtyard, passing through the small forest, the main villa came into view.

The kitchen was located behind the main villa, and she went around from the outside.

"Hey, the breakfast for that fool, did you prepare it as usual?"

"Of course, Mr. Bennett and Mrs. haven't given any other instructions. It's good enough if he eats something. Does the fool have any choose?"

"Miss Isabella is still staying there."

"So what? Does she have the ability to complain to Mr. Bennett? Let me tell you, although the Rosenthal family is also an aristocratic family, they are still a bit inferior to our Bennett family. Miss Isabella wouldn't dare to make a fuss."

"I don't know what's going on. Shouldn't Miss Isabella be marrying Mr. Daniel?"

"Who knows? Certainly, Mr. Daniel must not have fancied her!"

"With her appearance, I feel like I'm more suitable for Mr. Daniel."

"Exactly, she acts all high and mighty every day, but she's just after money. To climb up to the Bennett family, she's willing to marry even that fool!"

"Considering they were about to get married, why did Mr. Daniel suddenly change his mind? Did she do something to betray Mr. Daniel?"

"Maybe she..."

The conversation in the kitchen became increasingly offensive, and Isabella's eyes grew colder. In a fit of anger, she forcefully pushed the door open.

Bang!

"Ah!!!"

The door fell with a loud noise, frightening the maids inside, causing them to scream.

"What's going on?"

"What happened?"

The commotion was so loud that it attracted people nearby.

The first to arrive was the butler. He first looked at the fallen door, then slowly raised his head to look at Isabella. "Mi... Miss Isabella?"

At this moment, Isabella was also a bit stunned. She looked at her own hands, then glanced at the fallen door. After a while, she put her hands down, placed them behind her back, and moved her fingers.

"Cough!" She lightly cleared her throat, coldly looked at the maids, and said, "Butler, I don't want to see these people tomorrow."

The butler didn't understand what had happened, especially since the master and the madam were both at the company, and the madam had also gone out.

"Miss Isabella, I don't know what they did wrong?"

"Slandering the master," Isabella replied.

Upon hearing these three words, the butler instantly understood. Since Mr. Alexander had an accident, the servants at home had been gossiping more and more about him behind his back.

This time was probably coincidentally overheard by this lady.

"Miss Isabella, wait until the madam comes back. I will report to the madam and let her decide."

Isabella looked at the butler's attitude and raised an eyebrow.

As a housekeeper, he could decide who stays and who leaves among the few kitchen maids. Was he trying to show her his authority?

She sneered, took two steps forward, stepped on the fallen door, and said, "Butler, did you see the photo I took the night before yesterday? What if I put it online?"

The butler's whole body felt cold.

He naturally knew what happened the night before yesterday, although he hadn't seen the photo. However, he could guess what kind of photo it was, and it was definitely something that should never be posted online.

He immediately looked at the maids, "You're all fired!"

The maids looked panicked. The salary provided by the Bennett family was high, and they were unwilling to leave.

"Mrs. Isabella, I was wrong, please don't drive me away."

"Mrs. Isabella, I know I was wrong."

One by one, they started crying and pleading with Isabella.

Isabella looked at them expressionlessly, "Everyone is responsible for their own words and actions. Why do you think you can be an exception?"

The butler waved his hand, indicating to take them away quickly.

Isabella suddenly thought of something, "Wait!"

A few people looked over, full of hope.

She looked around and saw that many servants had gathered around, both overtly and covertly.

She sneered, "Today, I'll make things clear. Regarding this marriage, it was me who didn't want Daniel! I felt he wasn't up to my standards!"

Everyone gasped at her words.

After Isabella finished speaking, she looked at the butler, smiled gently, but her eyes showed no emotion, "Butler, am I right?"
