Chapter 12 - Are You Practicing Kung Fu Behind My Back?

Although he looked angry, the accusation sounded soft and tender to Isabella, more like coquettishness.

While this term may seem inappropriate for Mr. Alexander, who will be famous in the future, he... is a little cutie now!

Isabella's lips curled slightly as she gently said, "Alex, you didn't eat much this morning. This was specially made by Izzy for you. Give it a try?"

Alexander glanced at the noodles, then at her. After a while, seemingly unable to resist, he picked up the chopsticks and took a bite.

The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce rich, and Alexander found himself enjoying it more than expected.

Seeing him relish the food, Isabella, too, picked up her chopsticks. She always had confidence in her cooking skills.

The two, one tall and one short, sat in the study enjoying pasta.

As Alexander ate, he discovered a hidden surprise beneath the noodles—a fried egg.

"Wow! It's a fried egg! Alex, you're so lucky!" Isabella exaggerated in a tone one might use with a child.

Alexander: ...

Should he tell her that people don't typically add fried eggs to pasta?

The girl's face beamed with a brilliant smile, as if he had discovered some incredible treasure.

Alexander was momentarily stunned, then blinked his eyes. His beautiful eyes slowly curved into a charming arc. "Delicious."

With that smile, he looked like a peerless beauty.

Isabella blinked, captivated, her heartbeat quickening.

Seeing her entranced, Alexander's smile deepened. He lowered his head, picked up the fried egg, and took a gentle bite.

Isabella snapped back to reality, a bit regretful. "Ah, I should have captured that moment!"

Alexander lowered his head and smiled more with his eyes.

Isabella found her phone and leaned forward, "Alex, can you smile again?"

Alexander ignored her.

Isabella tried poking his arm again. Alexander gave her a look, moved his arm, and continued eating.

Well, it seemed hopeless.

Isabella felt a bit disappointed.

But soon, she cheered up. It seemed Alexander really liked the Italian noodles she cooked.

Watching Alexander, the cute way he savored the food, Isabella couldn't help but feel a sense of refinement, as if they were dining in an upscale restaurant.

After a moment of contemplation, Isabella lifted her phone, found an angle, and clicked, capturing the first breakfast of their married life.

Though she didn't catch the smile, the scene was still quite good.

Hearing the sound, Alexander silently raised his head, glanced at her, and then continued quietly eating.

"Izzy!"

Isabella turned to the voice and saw Grace walking in. She smiled, "Gracie."

Grace cautiously glanced at Alexander as she entered. Although her cousin was dumbfounded, the shadow was still there!

"Cousin Alexander," Grace obediently greeted.

Alexander kept his head down, focused on the noodles.

Isabella nudged him, saying, "Alex, Gracie is saying hello to you."

Her force was gentle, causing a ticklish sensation on Alexander's arm.

Alexander glanced at Isabella, then bowed his head to his noodles.

Grace didn't mind; she knew perfectly well what her cousin's current state was. Seeing Isabella sitting on the floor, she naturally joined her, excitedly saying, "I just heard from the servants that you fired a few maids and even broke the kitchen door with a single palm strike!"

Grace waved her hands in excitement, "Are You Practicing Kung Fu Behind My Back?"

Isabella's mouth twitched, "Thanks, but no!"
