" Actually, Mr Thorn, she's coming with me"
Raymund expected Levi to at least turn around to look at him but once again, he was ignored. Harper couldn't help but gape at the scene in front of her. How could someone as low - classes as Aaliyah have this kind of relationship with a majestic business tycoon?
Even she didn't get that chance. And she was a member of the legendary Edric family.
This was unfair. Harper didn't know why but she began to imagine Aaliyah as Levi's wife but she immediately shook the thought away.
How could Aaliyah marry Levi? That was absurd! But then again, Levi did seem close to Aaliyah's friend. But how did they know each other? Harper thought if a mere manager could get so close to Levi Thorn, why not her?
At that moment, Harper's determination shot through the roof. She was determined to get Levi at all costs.
"Aaliyah, why don't you go with Jordan. I have a few things to discuss with Mr Edric" Aaliyah didn't argue with Levi and just left. Afterall, she never wanted to be in the same plane with those freaks.
She finally got the chance to leave. So, she did as she was told and left. Levi turned to Raymund. Just as he was about to speak, he paused and glanced over at Harper.
" I hope you don't mind but this is a conversation between men..." Raymund glanced at his shocked sister and gestured for her to leave.
Although Harper didn't want to, she had to because this was Levi Thorne. He could wipe her off the face of the business industry. So, left with no choice, she turned and left.
When he was sure Harper was out of sight, Raymund returned his gaze to Levi. Levi had a serious expression on that made someone almost pee in their pants.
With this expression, Levi said, " Mr Edric, may I ask what you wanted Aaliyah to do?" Raymund began sweating. What if Levi already knew the truth and was just waiting for Raymund to make a mistake and lie to him? How did Aaliyah know this man? Did they know each other personally or through business?
If so, did Aaliyah tell him what he did to her all those years ago? Did that mean he was doomed?
But of course, this was all in Raymund's head. Levi didn't know Aaliyah personally nor did they know each other through business. They were just acquaintances. Aaliyah was just a friend of his friend's younger sister.
They had never met in the past. But of course, the Edrics didn't know this. Nor did they know that they were about to receive a special surprise when Raymund returned to Brooklyn.
